For argument sake (not really cause I don't want to fight with anyone, I heart you all)

Just putting this out there:

Let's say mom or Josh had something to do with Lindsey being hurt or going missing. Where is Lindsey? Mom didn't have a car and Josh had only a broken bike.

The area has been searched.

Mom has passed a poly (or so LE has said) . Which she wouldn't have had she been covering for her son. I am sure one of the questions she would have been asked is "did you have anything to do with Lindsey's disappearance" "do you know anyone that might have anything to do with it" etc....

don't want to fight either but ron and misty (cummings) said they passed poly's as well and i thought you don't get 'told' if you passed or not...there is deception or no deception..sorry Monkeys but it HAS to work both ways.....just sayin'
I hear what you are saying, I'm not sure how that works if you are told or not.

i know i've said this like three times but i guess i'll say it again and see what anyone thinks....i get the feeling this could be a teenager or someone between the ages of 16-22 who may be an older sibling of one of lindsay's friends.... anyone else think this could be a possibility?
Very much this could be a possibility, I really think Lindsey knew the person.

My old man took one too and was told that he passed but I don't believe they are allowed to share that info until or unless it is released by authorities.

This is not the first time that I've heard this mentioned. Someone on my work forum shared this same concern and I've been trying to find out which ones of their friends have older siblings. I'll keep you posted when I have some.

As for my previous post I don't know who those other ppl are that say they took the test so sorry I can't help there.

I know you guys are really busy but someone just emailed me something that seems worth looking into and I thought I'd ask you guys since you seem to know what you are doing.

Is there any way to find out what kind of meetings these are that are being held? McCleary is Monday night but it could bring in outside people often enough to make the town familiar...

Kara

Was Melissa notified that Lindsey was not spending the night at your home and ... was walking home?

I was wondering how Melissa knew to be concerned that her daughter was not home by 10:00 PM.

Thank you.

Janet

Where is Lindsey Baum? Police, FBI Search for 10-Year-Old
Girl's Mother Frantic After Lindsey Never Made it Home From a Friend's House
By SARAH NETTER
June 30, 2009

Baum said she last saw her daughter when Lindsey, along with her 12-year-old brother, Josh, headed out to Lindsey's friend's house in hopes she could get permission to spend the night at the Baum's house.

Baum said her children began squabbling over the use of Josh's bike on the way there and were stopped by a family friend who sent Josh home to end the argument. Lindsey continued on to her friend's house. When Lindsey's friend found out she couldn't stay the night, Lindsey headed for home around 9:30 p.m.

looks like recovery programs.  basically they are like AA/NA, overcoming some kind of victimization etc.  they are christian based, meaning they are through christian churches who use prayer and GOD in the recovery process rather than ONLY a higher power in comparison to regular AA/NA or other victimization recovery

one more thing about recovery groups.  a lot of times people are ORDERED BY THE COURT to attend recovery programs, this is not only AA/NA, many of the christian based groups will qualify to the courts.

many of the people who are ORDERED BY THE COURT to attend these group meetings have no intention on quitting whatever it is they are attending the group for; they HAVE to go to the meetings as part of their probation/parole.

there is a chance these groups might bring in parolees to the groups or druggies or even sex addicts etc, who have no intention on trying to overcome their addictions.  this could be something which causes outside criminals, sex offenders, etc to come into mccleary, who otherwise would not be there.

Thank you. I tried calling the chief and he could not understand what I was asking he simply said that the church was not obligated to tell them about any meetings. But could not seem to grasp that I was asking if they could look into what type of meetings they were and if it brought in people from outside of McCleary.

I Agree.  They even list the 12 steps to recovery so either AA or NA.  Do SO's also go through a recovery program like this?

That is exactly what I was thinking and on Friday nights meetings are held in Shelton and Olympia which are only minutes away but McCleary is a common cut through to get to both places. Depending on meeting length that may put people coming back through McCleary around that time...maybe?

wow, they are not going to even ask the church what type of recovery meetings they have?  unreal.

for all we know they could have sex addiction recovery with mandatory sex offenders attending.  If I were you I would call the church yourself and ask what kind of recovery programs they have.  you should also ask them if they qualify to accept mandatory attendance for court ordered parolees etc.  Or you could call the probation/parole office and ask them.

this is crazy the police will not go ask a church something gee is the church off limits or something?:

At the base of the page that I posted a link to it shows a closed group for sexual addiction but nothing else. So I don't know if we ever had any of those held here or not. I hope not.

I'm going to try and contact the Sheriffs or FBI instead of local PD maybe I can get them to look into it. I'll let you know!

12 step programs are supposed to be anonymous.  Only your sponsor knows what you choose to tell them and no one can divulge that you belong to one except yourself.  I had a family member with a drinking problem and he went to AA years ago.  I doubt it has changed much.

a lot of sex offenders also have drug and alcohol problems and so the courts, parole/probation will order them to attend meetings.

most of the time these meetings are in the evenings and it would not be uncommon for them to release out about 9 pm or so.

I use to work with parolees, teens at risk etc, and they had to attend these meetings.  and a lot of the christian based groups do qualify for the court ordered ones.  I really think this needs to be checked out.
