says they took out bloodhounds to search but nothing.  Were these trained "trailing dogs".  why nothing.  did the dogs not alert "ANYWHERE"?  That soon after she is missing how can a dog not hit the trail scent?  that is not right.  did they NOT take out trained trailing dogs.  If not, why not, and ARE THYE GOING TO?  Someone needs to find out and INSIST they do.

they dogs should be able to find the scent and where it ends.  If it just ends, she probably got in a vehicle.

the friend who walked her part of the way home would know which side of the road they were on when the friend left and where at, the dogs could start there and see how much farther she got down the road.

I really hope they are doing this and just saying there was NOTHING.

I do not understand why scent dogs would not find her trail.
Did the dogs find her scent at her home?
If not, then they need different dogs.

If so, then what is going on?
There should have been her scent on the four blocks to her home.

Has anyone googled mapped the route from friend's home to her home?

Are there any attractions that might have distracted from her walk home?

This is so frustrating for her family and friends.

Welcome, and I agree, this isn't making much sense. The frustration must be horrible for family and friends. Could she have taken a different route?

her friend walked her part way home.  that friend knows exactly where they departed, they could start the trailing dogs right there.  something is not right about this.  or... they are not saying what they found out.

Something is not right at all, or like you say they aren't saying what they found out.

A wide-ranging search was launched early Saturday in the town and the surrounding forests. The town was criss-crossed three times, but not a trace of Lindsey has been found. Even bloodhounds failed to pick up her scent.

Something is really wrong.
If there is no scent on the walk home,
is there a scent at the friend's house,
in the friend's parents car?

I pray for the best for Lindsey.

there HAS TO BE scent, that is a given, and we KNOW there has to be.  So either they have the crappiest inexperienced dogs out there and need to get some other ones;  or they found her scent and know where it went or where it stopped and they just are not saying as not to alert someone.

Hi Doubledecker

I looked up her address earlier.  It's 319 Mommsen St.  I couldn't find the friends.

They have to be, they must know something, and want it kept quiet for now.

it really must be that, because the fbi is on this case and they are not so stupid as to think there is no scent anywhere.  let me go back and read through the articles again.  See what they were doing before the feds got involved as opposed to what they are doing after the feds get involved.

If she got in a car the scent would weaken or stop, usually weaken.  Dogs can trail a person in a car also.
Especially, if there is a window rolled down.  I wonder what the weather was?  was it cold enough to have the windows rolled up?

if her friends walked her part of the way home, and they know when she left the friends house, then they know just about where she disappeared.  Can't be that far from where the friends departed and the rest of the way to her house.  I wonder who lives in this area along that road?

I think the friends house she was at father's name is Scott Williams and the friend she was last seen with's mothers name is Kara Campen.  Kara's been posting here.
