Lindsey Baum, 10y missing from McCleary, WA 6/26/09 #1

it really bothers me that so many young kids/girls are all linked to mccleary and have myspaces where they look much older than they are and the content on the pages appear like someone much older has the page.  its not just lindsey and kayla's pages, if you start following from one friend to the next there are a LOT of these girls on there.  then you have these adults as friends.  many are most likely family, but which are not?  I see one with a 32 yr old and everyone talking about going to his party. 

and what is with all the photos in houses with no furniture?  do people in mccleary not use furniture?

Just because there is an older person on their page doesn't necessarily mean anything. It could be a friend of the family or relative.

Sickos usually don't identify themselves as 32 year olds, the pretend to be teenagers. jmo

What scares me is there is thousands of Lindsey's and Kayla's out there (in McCleary) and the rest of the US on myspace. 10, 11, 12 year olds trying to look and act older to be cool. Posting pictures and other identifying information on these sites. They are targets sending invites out to any monster out there that is hunting for their next victim. It scares me to death! I am frightened not only for Lindsey and Kayla but all the Lindsey's and Kayla's out there.

13 yr old asks where he lives, says she'll try to make it to his party
says her mom wants to know if it is an all night thing

wth?  your mom will allow you to go to a party all night at some 32 yr old's house you don't know? 
there are some of the mccleary girls friends on this page too

Myspace does have a flag or report link on the bottom of the page, so if you ever see anything that screams "red flag" you can report it.

yes I realize a lot of the adults are relatives or friends of the famliy, but I am seeing a lot of them that I don'g think are, and even if they are, you go to their page ad there is the child hooked up on their page with all the craziness the adults are doing. 

I am in no way a prude type of person, nor judgemental, nor naive to the world and what goes on and I have seen a lot more than my share of things in this world.  but for the life of me I can't understand what these people are allowing these kids to do.  and it is not just one or two kids, it is a LOT of them.  I know there are some kids who grow up fast etc, but seems like there is just way too many of them in mccleary.  and they all seem to be friends or have the same connections.  and what really gets me is even after lindsey disappeared, these kids are still on myspace.  grrrrr

I saw that site above. I think that's a teenager pretending to be a grown-up. You can make your age to be whatever you want. He may be hiding his page from his parents that way.

He says he has "some college" and makes 250,000 grand. umm yeah. All the friends are kids.

I read all the comments, they talk about who do you like, didn't you break up with so and so, talked about seeing each other at school dances, etc... he is a youngin'.  jmp

OK, so Lindsey's friend signed into Lindsey's myspace, changed her quote & made it private. But why? What was the purpose of making it private, I wonder? I understand the quote, but not the privacy thing.

So, it was basically an empty page? Thanks Pink Angel, I didn't see it before it went private and I thought, 'I can see why the friend would want to change the quote that said, "I am on Lindsey's myspace", to keep people from freaking out and thinking some sicko was taunting us from the internet. But, why would the friend decide to make the profile private, unless there was something on it that the friend did not want people to know about? Something that could get them or someone else into trouble.' But, I guess not.

I feel sick thinking of little Lindsey.

At some point during this July 4, 2009 when you are spending time with family and friends, attending a picnic, get together or family reunion, and watching fireworks this evening, please take the time to either read or contemplate what this day truly means and the words that were written in The Declaration of Independence July 4, 1776.

Do not ever forget that today is about Life, Liberty, Freedom and “We the People”. Representatives that acted by and for the people of the Colonies and a new nation at great sacrifice. I would ask of our politicians today … where are those brace men and women that cared more of the people, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness than they do about being reelected and usurping power?

Yes, it has different entries. Like status updates. From the end of the May when she created the page to the time she went missing.

One of the entries on June 17 (IIRC) mentioned that she was glad her brother was going to juvie tomorrow.

Now, we don't have confirmation he was ever going to juvie or that he went to juvie. We do know he wasn't in juvie when she went missing last week though.

Having raised two girls, I can totally tell you this makes no sense at all. I'm very disturbed by this. A 32 yr old having a party is one thing, a 32 yr old having a party inviting young girls is a whole other issue.
