Thanks No Rose, I am not familiar with this case, but thought I would pop in and have a look see.

One thing that popped into my mind in this article the mom says she has long fingernails, her brother is proof of that.

Is this the same brother that is going to juvi tomorrow? Just thought I would throw this out there, maybe nothing, but I am going to read backwards.

JSM
Yes, it is the same brother, and the long fingernail comment jumped out at me also. I don't think the brother ever went to juvi, and if he did he isn't there now.

The books are YA books. I think 13-15 is the target audience. There fans on the today show, (when they were on) looked anywhere from 10-40's. LOL!

She reads Stephen King too. Not exactly what you'd think a 10 year old would be interested in. Some of Stephen King books are stuff nightmares are made of.

If the brother had scratch marks on him, that hasn't been reported.

Nope. That remark jumped out of all of us who read it though JSM.

I was reading back from page one and I can't copy or paste today, but in a story Muffy posted on page one it says she was fighting with her brother the day she went missing according to her Mom. Just thought I would throw that out. JSM

Supposedly the brother and Lindsey and another girl Kayla were argueing over a bike, a neighbor sent the brother home. Don't know if this is true or not.

Another interesting user comment left.  Is reporting of this case that bad or did something leak that should not have?

" This is what i dont understand. Last night as we were driving the news broke in on 105.7 the jet, they said that Lindseys computer had been forensically analyzed and 'some new information came to light and they would be checking other computer that she may have been in contact with'. They they also said that the rumors need to stop and only call with legitimate tips. now that right there, totally contradicts what they have been saying all along. dont you think that now they dont wanna hear 'just the littlest tip'. Now the paper is saying that the computers 'yielded nothing'? I think that ev1 needs to get their facts straight....I wouldnt doubt for a second if its the yahoos that work for the county and the sheriffs dept are the ones spreading the rumors! Welcome to Grays Harbor! "

Thanks No Rose. As I was reading from the beginning, this question was asked already. God Bless this poor child. I don't think I can take another missing child. So very sad. JSM

I cannot comprehend why the inconsistencies.

1.  Did Josh turn around and go home on his own or ... did a family friend send him home.
2.  Was it just Josh accompanying Lindsey to her friend's home or ... was Lindsey's Michaela with them.
3.  Did Josh fight with Lindsey or ... were both Lindsey and Michaela taunting him.

Kampen said she has replayed that Friday evening in her head over and over. So has her daughter, Michaela, 10, who spent the day swimming with Lindsey. They walked together with Josh Baum, 13, to the Kampen house. But halfway there, Michaela said they teased Josh, getting under his skin enough so he turned around and couldn’t walk back with Lindsey. That’s something he now regrets deeply, Kampen said.

Where is Lindsey Baum? Police, FBI Search for 10-Year-Old
Girl's Mother Frantic After Lindsey Never Made it Home From a Friend's House
By SARAH NETTER

Baum said she last saw her daughter when Lindsey, along with her 12-year-old brother, Josh, headed out to Lindsey's friend's house in hopes she could get permission to spend the night at the Baum's house.

Baum said her children began squabbling over the use of Josh's bike on the way there and were stopped by a family friend who sent Josh home to end the argument. Lindsey continued on to her friend's house. When Lindsey's friend found out she couldn't stay the night, Lindsey headed for home around 9:30 p.m.

Some articles had reproted that Kara told the girls they could not stay as the family had plans that night.  Not sure if this has been asked yet, was there anyone at Kara's that evening other than the normal family members (hubbie and kids)?  Did they have company or were expecting company?

I am sensing that Lindsey would have fought if it was a stranger abduction.  No one heard screams or a fight.  If she was taken it could have been someone she was familiar with, maybe not directly but through a friend perhaps - someone that she had seen before, would recognize but did not necessarily know.  Would she have trusted a person she had seen before as being safe?  By all accounts the sun was starting to set.  No trace found by dogs.  A person she recognized may have pulled over and offered a ride home as it was getting dark (going back to the white car comment).

There was an article that stated they were going door to door, whether they searched or not I have no idea.

I was wondering that also, besides Kara, her boyfriend, and kids, was there someone else at the house? I really believe that Linsey knew the person, and like you just wrote, stopped and asked her if she wanted a ride, and she said yes.
