BUMP

Scott said a second person came forward Tuesday with a confirmed sighting of Baum from Friday night in the same area along Maple Street near Fifth Street.

http://**/articles/2009/07/02/local_news/doc4a4cf43c1b1dd881132403.txt

The girl’s route home would have taken her from her friend’s house in the 600 block of Maple Street, along the residential street with no sidewalks.

She would have walked down Maple and would have had to cross 3rd Street, which is a main road in the town and has a crosswalk. At that point she would have had a short walk through a a commercial area, including a nearby bus station and a gas station. She would have had to cross the larger street, then back onto a residential street without a sidewalk and head down to her house at the 300 block of Mommsen Street, a dead-end residential neighborhood within view of the police station.

But a minute or two before she crossed 3rd Street, she disappeared.

Again ... I ask ... in the process of elimination ... "Did Josh return home as instructed following the heated argument he had with Lindsey ... less than one hour prior to the time his sister should have arrived home.

Going back through the thread and the Myspace accounts.  The one that jumped out to me was this one, friend or relative of Kara or both.

Reading his blogs, troubled person.

I know, this one along with Michelle the sister inlaw both had me on high alert.

Where is Lindsey Baum? Police, FBI Search for 10-Year-Old
Girl's Mother Frantic After Lindsey Never Made it Home From a Friend's House

June 30, 2009

Scott said that there were a few businesses located just off the street Lindsey would have used to get home, and while the little girl did not appear in any of the videos, police have received clues about who was in the area at the time she disappeared.

Scott said witnesses were able to put Lindsey within a couple of blocks of her house just after 9:30 p.m. The last person reported to have seen her, he said, was a neighbor on her way to work.

I wonder if this is the same person who broke up the supposed fight?

Since Lindsey was having trouble with the divorce, I wander if she could have befriended an older man, as a father figure?

That is something we don't know. LE has never mentioned it nor has any other "player" mentioned it.

You and me and all of us monkeys would like to know. Smile

For argument sake (not really cause I don't want to fight with anyone, I heart you all)

Just putting this out there:

Let's say mom or Josh had something to do with Lindsey being hurt or going missing. Where is Lindsey? Mom didn't have a car and Josh had only a broken bike.

The area has been searched.

Mom has passed a poly (or so LE has said) . Which she wouldn't have had she been covering for her son. I am sure one of the questions she would have been asked is "did you have anything to do with Lindsey's disappearance" "do you know anyone that might have anything to do with it" etc....

That's real close to home, not that someone couldn't have grabbed her, or even stopped to ask her if she wanted a ride home.

EXACTLY!!!

This wannabe detective who has been wrong time and time again in her speculations in missing persons cases ... will take another risk and speculate again.

Consider a Lindsey BaumI observation ... which occurred so close to home ... was confirmed by two witnesses who knew her ... I  speculate that Lindsey may have made it home where "something bad happened".

In other words ... until Lindsey is found and the truth is revealed ... all those who are known to be connected to the little girl in the hour prior to her disappearance must be suspect unless ruled out otherwise LE.

It is my hope that the FBI are still involved.  When I consider the media statements by local LE ... I am not impressed.  The investigation appears to be all over the place in regards to the unknown and ... not focused on ... not eliminating what is known.  However ... there may be happenings taking place behind the scenes that we are unaware of.

IMO

1500 people, that is how many homes? You think they could have asked to search each and everyone of them.   jmo

I would have no problem with LE searching my home and property if a child in my neighborhood went missing.

When you consider the recent missing person cases involving missing children ... search warrants were served almost immediately on the related premises and properties while bagged items were confiscated.  The searches were recorded live by the media.

In the Lindsey Baum case ... nothing has been revealed in regards to search warrants or ... I must have missed it.

hi everyone-

i just finished reading through the whole thread and wanted to give some of my opinions/observations so far...as well as a few questions

-i doubt the brother was involved in anyway, i think if he had been, le would have found something by now...i think it would have been disorganized and surely something would be found...that's about the only thing i'm certain of so far in this case...

-i was also wondering if lindsey's mother had a boyfriend or was dating anyone at the time? maybe had a profile on any online dating sites/things of that nature?

-is there any history with child protective services that can be verified? (i know a lot of this info is confidential) but if anyone has heard anything about this, also could there be a history with cps in La before they moved to washington?

-are there any teens in the area that lindsey was familiar with who had their liscense and may have offered her a ride home and she accepted?  maybe this person was under the influence of drugs/alcohol, and kept driving to hide the body somewhere further from town. (hopefully lindsey is still alive, i am praying she is i just have a bad feeling about this case)

-the other thought i have is that this is a local person who may have been watching lindsey for awhile...someone who she knew and recognized but someone who wanted to abduct her and waited for the perfect opportunity...sometimes perps will fixate on a certain victim and stalk them and wait for the moment when they know they can snatch them up...this person also could have been reading her myspace pages as well and may not be labeled as a sex offender b/c they just have never been caught...

just my 2 cents for what it's worth...happy 4th of july everyone, i am praying for the family of lindsey and for the family of her friends

Last question!

Any word on Lindsey's father?  Did he arrive in McCleary last night as planned?

Thanks

I would have no problem with LE searching my home and property if a child in my neighborhood went missing.

That is a really good question.  So articles state she started at McCleary School this year.  Would not be unusual to be close to a teacher.  There was an article that said she was having problems at school because of the divorce.  Here is the school website.

http://www.mccleary.wednet.edu/general%20info/Staff.htm

10 would put her in fourth grade?  Teacher is Tom.  Also the principle is Dan.  I am looking through the names to see if there are other males.  I know someone was looking at the fact that the school was under some construction.  The company contracted to do it was Christensen Inc from Turnwater.  If the workers are from Turnwater not sure if they stay in McCleary during the week and then go home during weekends.

There is also an article about two workers getting hurt in June.

All I could find was this so far

Investigators say both Lindsey's mom and the father of the friend at the home where Lindsey had just left have both voluntarily taken - and passed - polygraph tests, and they are not considered suspects.

No we did not know about the 2nd myspace page.. it wasnt set up on her home computer...Lindsey is not abused, she has a normal home life, but she is sad about her parents divorce and her dad not moving out here.. the guy who talks about a step father, there is NO step father.. melissa and scott just got divorced in april and it has been stated numerous times NEITHER parent is involved in this disappearance... again lindsey wasnt purposely walkin home alone,, it wasnt the plan,, it changed at the last minute unbeknown to Melissa.. as for Melissa not going to the vigil, she has been asked not to leave the house and hasnt other than going to the police station. she did not come out and ask for money,, as for you asking why she would need money,, well um DUH SHE CANT WORK RIGHT NOW.. she is at home waiting for any word that her daughter is found.. she still has bills, and a son to take care of..we have spent money to buy flashlights and batteries,, anyone who is generous enough to want to help in this troubling time I have set up an account in Lindsey Baums name for donations at any branch of Timberland bank. You can also mail donations to PO Box 1124 Elma WA 98541. Donations of food, flashlights, batteries,, anything can be made to the redcross as well. We all appreciate your help and well wishes! Thanks, and maybe if Lindsey's mom doesn't have a current boyfriend, maybe a former boyfriend.
