I just ran into this info while looking for the little park (not beerbower park) and found this

Community Center

The Community Center, west of downtown McCleary and bordering the city cemetery, provides a building at low rent for community meetings and other uses. A small park and playground are also at this site. A large VFW Hall with kitchen facilities is a popular center for many occasions.

I wonder if anyone was having any meetings/groups at the community center or the VFW hall.  Might have brought in someone from out of town?

Last night out of pure frustration I was with my laptop watching SVU with Chris Meloni * the one that is to be the mock of Casey Anthony ... puke. So I thought just like you are Now.
Could there have been a stranger in town or near ..or What was ongoing around that time frame in the area and or surrounding areas.
So I went to Craigslist Seattle * which does cover GH and Olympia area- and I was reading all the past posters .. in the areas where people can look for something to do, read of up and coming events etc ..find friends and find " one night stands" ...and I tell you I was never so shocked to see all the posts from Men " Looking for a One Nighter" And they all show a pic of their privates ...  serious. And some even say " Truthful or Not  I have no idea" but some say I am just passing through town and will only be here for the weekend. Or I am driving on vacation and just looking for one night of Fun ... WHO in their right mind ??  Would answer one of those ads? Let alone post a close up of their privates trying to find " anyone" ... for  a one night encounter.
There is many and they are men that are are clearly desperate.. and many are Young Men. 18-25. Some older too, but most are young.   

nothing at all supprises me anymore.  I have heard, seen, or heard of just about everything.  and researchig and studyig cime cases has so much bizarre stuff surrounding them, that I think I am not shocked anymore.  The world is just getting increasingly more and more corrupt, crazy, wicked, evil, bizarre as the days go by.  aymore we have to look at crime cases through the eyes of the criminals and crazies; there is no looking at cases like we would think, behave, etc.  These people are a totally different breed.  we truly have to rethink what people do and what they are capable of.  common sense as we know it does not apply to others.

If someone is interested in giving it a shot they could try calling Harry Oakes and see if he can tell you specifically if he tracked the scent straight down Maple or up 6th - I don't know the exact details of his search but that way you would have the information directly without it coming through me... Just a thought. I imagine you could tell him you are trying to put together maps and such. Not sure if he'd share the info or not...

No I didn't get paid to write the above blog. I did that merely to try and get her pic and name out. I am not sure if there is a way to check it but I am only an infrequent blogger. I've also written 2 other articles that went up for no upfront and display only and I will most likely put up more articles if there is any new updates, leads or most likely even if nothing is found.

My house - Myself, Scott and my 4 kids.

Police have had her cell phone since the first day and my phone was charging at the time in the kitchen where she never went. Not sure if they checked her house phone or not - we don't have a regular house phone though here.

Scott said witnesses were able to put Lindsey within a couple of blocks of her house just after 9:30 p.m. The last person reported to have seen her, he said, was a neighbor on her way to work.

so the police have talked to the people who they have clues about being in the area.  I sure they talked to them, that is just a given(isn't it)

so if they talked to these people who were in the area about the time she was suppose to disappear, this means those people did not see her in that area?  not like it was a crowded street where you would not notice her.

Unfortunately you can find victims of child porn and prostitution on craigslist:(  It is difficult to do, but please take a look at your area's craigslist and look through the postings and report all postings of those who look to young:( A lot of prostitution, so sad....

KaraK  What about the nursing home, are there people there who do shift work and may have been out having a smoke?

I asked about the dollar store.  She was familiar with running the front at her family's store.  Was she that comfortable in the $5 store she was in the night before?  Is there someone who frequents or works at that store who is friendly with Lindsey (an older teen or strange adult) that may ask for her when she isn't there? 

I do not think she ran away.  She would not leave her dog, she had her cell phone charging, and she was looking forward to Michaela staying over the following night.

thank you for responding to my post, i hope i didn't come across as rude i was just wondering, i am also not trying to accuse u or ur family of any wrongdoing. my personal theory on this case is that a mentally ill teenager/young adult who lindsey knows took her. maybe it's someone who has had problems with the law (we wouldnt have access to those records if it was a juvenile) or has had problems in school or at home...i just have this hunch that an older teen did this by himself.  maybe the child was kind of an outcast. i dont know why i cant shake the feeling that this is what happened, i hope i am wrong i really do and i wish i had more evidence to base this opinion on...i would just ask that you and all of the other parents in the community have open dialogue with ur kids about anything out of hte ordinary even in their group of friends or any rumors or anything like that they might hear, b/c it could be enough to crack the case...okay sorry for my blabbering

maybe call them and see if anyone got a ride that night out of town, or anyone acting weird or whatever, or if the taxi was out and about did they see anyone wandering around?

In the process of elimination ... it is my belief that ALL who came in contact with Lindsey on the evening she disappeared should be considered suspect until ruled out.

If the adults in the Kampen household and ... the adults in the Baum household have been interrogated and ... each voluntarily submitted to to a polygraph and ... are ruled out as suspects ... then the investigatin can move on..  Also ... when the argument with Josh is considered ... I believe that this young man is not above suspicion until ruled out.

That being said.  Two witnesses observed Lindsey a short distance from her home on the night she disappearance in the timeframe that would affirm the Kampen's contention of when Lindsey left their home.

If the witness accounts are credible and ... considering the time of theiir observations ... it would appear that the Kampen's version of events have been affirmed and ... the implication is that "something bad happened" either in the last two blocks of Lindsey's walk home or ... "something bad happened" when she got home.

Just speculating.

Lindsey was going to walk the four blocks to her home on Mommsen Road, which is roughly a 10-minute walk. But something happened in that short distance - Lindsey never arrived home ...

The friend's father, Scott Williams, said he asked Lindsey to go home before it got too dark.

"She was here 10, 15 minutes, and then, you know, we said, 'You should probably get going before it gets dark,' and that was the last we heard of her," he said.

Witnesses say Lindsey seemed normal as she headed out around 9:15. Another friend even walked her part of the way, but Lindsey never showed up at her home.

I tell you when I went and used the satellite and hovered over the " address" -

“I don’t know anything more than I knew Saturday afternoon,” he said, “but I’m not willing to admit that I know anything less.”

Scott said bloodhounds traced the route Lindsey took early on from the friend’s house to her own home, but didn’t find any scent. And in places where Lindsey once played — parks and by the creek — Lindsey’s scent has been vanishing.

The loss of scent could be a combination of factors — the heat on the sidewalk could have dissipated it for instance, he said.

I have been trying to read all the comments. Because I think that who ever is responsible for Lindsey being missing - is paying attention and reading and viewing and may even Be DUMB Enough to post a comment.
