so josh did not go back and get his bike on his way home? why would he just leave it there? he was mad at her because she would not take it home, yet he leaves it there and goes home?

is that weird?

It did not have a chain on it so it couldn't actually be ridden Kara ... or a Monkey
I don't want to know her * name  ..just relation to Lindsey.
Who is this girl? I saw her pic on one of Lindsey's friend/family myspaces
I am getting confused
She likes to show her chest in photo's ( don't know what it is with taking pics in the bathroom)

http://www.myspace.com/ebony_luvs_jerry5

I wish her Dad would see these - I think he would shut her space down.
and he did not want to push it back home because Lindsey had been the one who took it from the house and was pushing herself around on it so he felt she should take it back. -

I know it didn't have a chain, but wasn't josh mad at her because she got tired of pushing it and she would not take it home?  so then if she didn't take it home and went on, and they got in a fight about this, and he was told to go home; and he knows lindsey is not going to take his bike home(over which he got so mad about); you would think he would go get it and take it home, not just leave it for someone to steal it

Kara ... why are the kids push around a bike that cannot be ridden ... a bike with a chain?

I also want to know what makes that lady think she has the right to tell someone else's kid they have to go home?  and why does he do what she said?  or did he?

Kara the relationship between Lindsey and this Marilyn person has become a bit controversal to me. Can you offer anything in regards to why she would break up the fight and send Josh on his way? you knew Josh, I have just seen a pic, do you feel he would have complied with a person who tells him to do something as she did? Why or why not?

I would suspect that the argument had to have been very heated for this woman to intervene.  Melissa Baum did not appear to have a problem the actions of the "family friend".

ABC NEWS – June 30, 2009

Baum said she last saw her daughter when Lindsey, along with her 12-year-old brother, Josh, headed out to Lindsey's friend's house in hopes she could get permission to spend the night at the Baum's house.

Baum said her children began squabbling over the use of Josh's bike on the way there and were stopped by a family friend who sent Josh home to end the argument. Lindsey continued on to her friend's house. When Lindsey's friend found out she couldn't stay the night, Lindsey headed for home around 9:30 p.m.

Good question DD. I would think most kids would just look at someone and turn the other way. I wonder if he was afraid of her?

seems if it was that bad the friend would have called their mother and let her know what was going on.  instead she orders one of the kids around and then lets the other one be walking home by themself when she sees them.

and what did this woman tell lindsey she had to do?  I don't know about any of you on this board, but no one better be ordering my kids around like that, and if they are a friend of me(the mom) they better let me know what is going on if it is that bad.

Was she a close family friend, and maybe that is why, or just some pushing busy body that likes to tell people what to do? Was Josh scared of her so that is why he listened to her? Did she threaten to tell their mother they were fighting?

Yes, and who is the other person that supposedly saw Lindsey, was that just a neighbor or a family friend, or someone who thought they saw Lindsey that night, but actually saw her another night?

I think she is said to be the last person to see Lindsey. Where does she work? At that hospital or long term care place? Where is that place at, how far? I don't know the name so I can't look it up

I know this, if the fight is bad enough you feel you have to make one of them go home, and if you are a friend of the mom, you should have called her and told her what was going on, and then when you see lindsey walking home you do what?  ignore her?  talk to her? offer her a ride? what?

if she was so concerned about the fighting, what made her think they were not going to continue this fight when lindsey got home?  would you call to see if the mom was home or something?

you can't be all concerned one second to that point, and then not the next.. either she is a good friend trying to do the right thing because she is concerned, or what the heck is she doing?

and did that other person see lindsey before or after the woman who told josh to go home, who saw lindsey last?
