IRONING ? No one irons anything any more. Mine is kept in case I need a weapon on an intruder.
...
TY for everything you do Klaasend.

I iron!! Old habits die hard. My husband doesn't like his shirts taken to the laundry. And I  love linens in the summer and I iron my linen clothing, even though it gets wrinkled right away.

Congratulations on the 10,000 posts, Sunny!

There's something relaxing to me about ironing, but not at 7:30 AM when I'm trying to get ready for work
I would rather do it on a Sunday afternoon with a good movie on TV.

My Mom used to iron in front of the TV, watching Bill Kennedy at the Movies. Good memories.
Don't forget " Rita Bell" ........

Hi All ... Sunny Congrats .... Me no Iron either ... we don't get along lol.
Boo (( Hug)) loved your post above.

I have a couple of summer shirts that are so soft and lightweight, that I wear a lot this time of year. They both have to be ironed, but I keep the ironing board up in the laundry room, and often iron them right out of the washer, and just hang them up. The ironing almost dries them.

Years ago, just after I got married, we lived in the county and there were no restrictions on clotheslines. I had a dandy, and I LOVED it! You cannot imagine how good sheets feel and smell after being fresh air dried! Jeans were great, too. If you hung them right, you had a great crease without ironing, and they didn't have that "dryer shrink" either. The only thing I ever used to put in the dryer were towels. There are neighborhood restrictions here that don't allow clotheslines, but I'd love to have one!

I would love to have a clothes line.....no restrictions other than the trees and the birds

Just got back from church..my 2 year old is getting way too comfortable there now....she went up on the front stage area..and started trying to blow out the candles everyone is great there tho and thought it was very cute. Just a fun story for a sunny Sunday afternoon...

My Grandma she used a clothes line. She in all her years never had a washing machine * not modern day.. nor ever had a dryer.
She had a " Ringer Washer" When I was a little girl I used to hand her each item of clothing and she would put them in soap/water and use a wash board and then use the Ringer to squeeze out the water ...
Then outside the clothing went on to the Line. In the winter months she would hang the clothes in the basement near the furnace ..and wait for them to dry.
She could have had a new washer and dryer ... but she preferred to do it her way.

I do remember her sheets always felt butter soft and smelled sooo Good. Can't beat sunshine and all her flowers that were around ... they made everything smell good.

Oh, Sunny, if you CAN have one, treat yourself and get one! I had three lines and the lines were corded wire sleeved in plastic. The end posts were salt treated lumber sunk in the ground with concrete. It wasn't an "eyesore" at all, IMO. I even had a canvas bag  for the clothes pins that had a handle that hung on the line!

Hi Boo... Happy Sunday

I see you. I really liked your post you made just a bit ago.

Hi Deenie, don't mind me, I'm feeling all melodramatic today. I was reading over there and man, they really know how to rip a person to shreds and don't put their name on it. Honestly, it scares the living chit out of me! I don't think I will be going back.

LOL....I'll check with husband but I can hear him screaming now!!  LOL  We really do have only a small part of the back property fenced off primarily to keep the dogs in and the deer out. It really would probably not work well for our set up.  But ummmmmmm it is sure worth thinking about
