well crap, I am just going to be quiet.  this case is certainly a mind-boggler.

I am wondering why you felt you couldn't ask the detectives any questions?

well I just feel what they are doing is none of my business.  So I accept what they did tell me, and left it at that.  I guess I just do not like talking to police and this one time I went ahead and talked to them because I had info no one else had and I could not pass it on to anyone to give to them because it was too complicated and I did it for Lindsey, or I would have never contacted them in the first place.  I just gather info and let others pass it on.  That might seem odd to some people, but it is just the way I am.

I can't confirm this yet, but my husband has heard from someone that on the news at 5, they will announce arresting a police officer in the disappearance of Lindsey. I am looking for confirmation now, but thought someone else may know more.

this wouldn't be all too shocking to me, and could explain the 'county employee' witness.. and would explain why lindsey didn't scream right away, as we are taught to respect police officers and not fear them...  did your husband hear this from a reliable source? if you cant say i totally understand, i guess we will all be finding out soon enough

hmmm NOW isn't that something!!! well I wonder where they got that info from. gee, would they run all over the west coast looking for other people if they knew it was a police officer?  unless they JUST found out.  boy this is getting unreal

I can't find anything, I am watching the news at work, when I should be headed home, but all they are talking about is the weather. So I have no idea if this is accurate or not. I'm sorry to be spreading rumors if it is not true.

No, actually it wasn't that. I was wondering if they put you off with their attitude. I hope not. Sometimes, talking to the LE can be unnerving especially if they cop an attitude, and I wondered if that happened. I am not criticizing you in any way.

oh, no, not at all, They were very very very nice and helpful.  they asked for everything I had, I sent it, and then when I got more info and sent it they contacted me and told me adam had been interview etc and he was not around when lindsey disappeared.  etc.  they were VERY NICE.  And they paid attention to the info, and I am sure they actually did what they were suppose to do.

I just don't talk to the police, so I said what I had to say and left it at that.  Anything I was told was offered by them, I did not ask.  And I feel like I should just leave it at that, as if they want anything else from me concerning any of this they know who I am, have my email and a phone number they can call.

I will ask you one more question and you do not have to answer. Did you contact someone other that the McCleary PD or the Grays Harbor SO? Like I said, you do not have to answer if you don't feel you can.

DD thanks for all your hard work

hey I had a lot of help from all of you guys.  I can't remember who said what but there were a couple of bits and pieces some of you posted about other things that made me go hmmmm, so I looked.

see it is all the bits and pieces, even if it is not the exact thing you find, it just might be someone saying something that triggers something that makes you think, hmm I wonder this or that... so you look... and madi did a LOT too.

the funniest thing about all of this though, there actually was something humorous was I wrote the detective off as some nut wanting info from me LOL because he used someone elses email.  now that was pretty funny, so for two days I did not send the info because I thought it was someone trying to get info out of me.  LOL

but yah, "it takes a whole board"... really it does.  I don't do this all by myself.

Hi DD,  I wanted to thank you for your devoted and hard work on Lindsey's case.

Maybe you could use initials for people so as to not demean them personally, where they have not been publically linked to the case.  It works pretty slick as it gives a representation for say a Person 'A' by initials, then Person 'B', and so on.  To put the case together at this point we don't need to know their names anyway IMO.

Does anyone know right off who the State's Attorney is that covers the district for McCleary?
