woohooo!  we made it .

Those are cute. Wow, I wonder how many hub caps are on that tree. Correct winner gets a free slushy. LOL

Probably wouldn't be to hard to make that hubcap tree. Just use a sturdy wire tree shaped frame, hang the hubcaps on with "s" hooks, trim with greenery around the bottom.....avoid all those dropping needles. Wink

Louise,
That is an adorable picture.  Yes, it is a little boy in costume with big hat with face mask, etc.  I think Carnuts is a space suit but they do look similar nonetheless.  Face gear and full body costume.

Little boys must like stuff like that.  Mine would make motor noises before they could talk, too.  Always wondered why and where they heard them, etc. so think maybe they are born doing that.

Well, Louise your pic is kinda similar, but my pic comes from a bit longer ago I'll bet. Christmas 1954, that's dear ole dad in his working clothes. That's my boot and spur sticking out into the pic. This pic was probably taken just a few minutes prior to my avatar pic when I had the helmet placed on my head, making me 'Cowboy Pilot'.

Thanks for your reply, Anna. I love you. I remember the noises little boys make. My daughter's dog Delia would howl at the sound of a siren and my grandson howled, too. A nice little slice of life to remember.

No, I believe my mother probably took the pic, since it was in our trailer house on Christmas day.
