No, I don't believe that.  IMO, a blackmail scenario would be more likely.  Only to protect his family.  I'm not sure but I think that blackmail would be a crime in itself if that's the case.

It is not something I ever wondered before, I just was wondering if anyone here thought it was possible.  I don't get the blackmail scenario though.  Who would be blackmailing who??

I don't really know enough about what took place to speculate.  But there are evil people in this world, and we know there are some involved in and around this case.  Would one/some of those evil people take advantage of a grieving family and create a scenario where they gained the trust of one of those family members?  And within that friendship/trust that family member revealed things that they would never ever want to see in the media?  Like I said before, I don't know what took place.  Those are just some of the questions that crossed my mind.  I hope to goodness that hasn't happened in this case.  There has been enough pain and suffering.

The words spoken by Dave in TM's sig. line still hold true for me. 
There must have been many times along the way when Dave questioned to himself those that he put faith in.
Just wish we would get a clue as to what the family is doing presently to further justice for Natalee.

I don't believe for a moment Natalee's Daddy would let her down knowingly.
