OK, so who here has had a core biopsy (breast) done? How long does it hurt? Will it scar?
Me, being me, of course, this has to be funny. As the surgeon was doing his thing today, I was singing this song (from Rehab) in my head:

This will be my last tattoo
to cover the memory of someone (thing) I thought I'd always need
cover it with a smoking gun
make it hurt as much as possible
and make it bleed!

(I'm thinking if I ever get a tat, it'll be on the scar!) Monkey Devil!
Tevye, I have never had one, but my best friend has had three that I know of. They aren't pleasant, I don't want to scare you, but if you have a xanax handy, take it before you have it done. DON'T what ever you do look at the needle.  an angelic monkey

If you have any questions, please get my email from Klaas and I can get you all the information you need. I work with a radiologist that did her fellowship in mammography and is a breast specialist. Plus my best friend that works with me can help me answer your questions on this as well. Monkey Hugs from JSM and from Josef.  an angelic monkey

Thanks, JSM. I had the biopsy this am, didn't think far enough ahead to ask for a sedative. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be...'

My grandson loves your avi! He laughs everytime he sees it!
Sorry I was way behind, so just remember if you need any help or questions I am here for you. Glad it wasn't as bad as you expected. Please keep me updated in my banning thread since that is where I lurk while at work.  Monkey Devil! Glad your grandson likes my avi, Brandi did a great job.

TEVYE,I think I may have missed you on JSM's thread. I just wanted you to know that I am praying for you.  You know, you've taught me everything I needed to know on SM, and then some. Did you know I even started a thread??? When I saw you do it that day on Caylee's thread, I knew I could do it too. You are amazing!   an angelic monkey

Hi Green Eyes!!!

Shore is wonderful.  How are you?

Good Morning Bearly
So very happy to read you are having a wonderful time, that your pain level is down to were you can enjoy yourself and your son.
I am fine, almost ready for family this Friday. Grandpa went out yesterday and got the boys one of those free standing basketball hoops. Have a wonderful day

Have you ever thought of adoption?

Good morning Bearly!  So sorry to hear about your pain and suffering but glad to hear you have a bit of relief.  Enjoy your vacation.

Happy Monday morning Monkeys!

I am having a 'discussion with my Mom.'  She thinks I should take it easy because whatever I do this week, I will pay for it after the procedure wears off.  I think I should go for it, as this is the best I have felt since I can remember, even after having other procedures, and when it wears off, I want to have memories to last until I can have another one--which may or may not work as well.

What does everyone think?  I am really curious to know.  I won't be hurt if you side with my Mom, I want to know what you would do.  (Just don't forget, I do have a delete button  tongue )

Bearly - I think you are an adult and know your body better than anyone.  That said, moms will always worry and often they are right.

I don't know about the biopsy but I will be praying for a good outcome.

That's what I thought.  I wasn't planning on going crazy, I am still limited in what my body will do, I just wanted to push it a little bit.  I wasn't planning on skydiving (I can't afford it), but riding a wave runner with my brother--okay we needed a towboat, but that was a great experience, too.

I still lay down a lot of the day--sitting is a killer, but a motel room is the perfect place because all you can do is lay down.  We stay up late and wake up late, that is our pattern.  My Great-Grandmother started it and it is obviously genetic.  I would not do anything to hurt myself, I still need to take care of my son, plus I hope to have many miles to go with this body.  I just wanted to kick it up a notch--or two while we are on vacation.

Thanks for all of your replies.  I care about you guys, too!

^5 San!!!

Hi MM!!!

Good Morning, Monkeys!!!

Hi Bearly and San

So did you have fun today Bearly, or should I say yesterday???

Yes.  Thank you for asking.  We did a little shopping, then went to dinner at a little place we love, then we saw G-Force at the movies.

Every day from the moment we got here, the weather says thunderstorms, we even had a warning.  The weather has been wonderful.  It is great with the wind in your hair and the salt water spraying in your face.  I am sore, don't get me wrong, I am just so dang happy I have some relief and can move more than usual.  It reduces me to tears several times a day.  God is good!!!  Monkey prayers are powerful!!!

Agree or disagree, the one thing this cage is full of is people who are passionate.  That can be good or bad, but when it is used to protect those who are defenseless or cannot speak for themselves, it is truly beautiful.
