This is my dog Grissom! He loves going to the dog park.
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=314wk9l&s=4
I still think he looks like a snuffaluffacuss!! SO CUTE!! Does he shed much? Is his fur similar to that of a poodle? Do you have to shave him ever?
I have a sister who wants a dog so bad, and my dad wants to get it for her, but she has allergies. She is 7 and she likes your avi. I just emailed them your photo of Grissom as a possible idea for her b-day.
Spinone's or Spins as we call them are absolutely the best dogs in the world. Can run at the park and be a couch potato too. Not a lot of room is needed inside, just a walk or two or a trip to the dog park. His fur is wirey on top and soft underneath, not alot of grooming is needed. He's kinda got that Elvis waterfall thing going for him. He does shed, but not like a Labrador. He gets a good brushing once a week. My baby is on the large size for a male, he's 106 lbs but can manage to curl up pretty small when he wants to. They are the best with kids and even smaller animals like cats. I have 7 cats who were afraid of dogs, thanks to my chow/corgi mix, but they all love Grissom. I think he would be perfect for a 7 year old!

Is he a water dog? He is adorable. What exactly does that breed do, besides be a sweetheart?
What bread do you have Joes? He is adorable too. He has some very pretty coloring too.

This is Abby, my Old English Sheepdog:
She is almost eight years old and a bit arthritic, but still loves to chase a ball now and then.

Awesome! He weighs as much as I do! LOL I have 3 younger sibs, 4/7/9 and they LOVE my guys, but jacks can be mean sometimes and snippy. Grissom sounds like he could be a good fit.

Adorable. I always wanted one of those when I was a kid, because of there was one on cartoons and the Brady Bunch, but theirs wasn't as pretty as yours!

Yeah, he grativates toward the little dogs in the park that might need protection. They love him too. When playing with the cats, he trys to make himself small by lowering the front end with his bottom in the air and lets the kitties slap at his nose (they don't hurt him, just having fun!). They can be expensive, I went through the Spinone rescue and ended up finding Grissom up here in Michigan not more than an hour away! I've only had him 1 year and he is 6. Some breeders are now doing payment plans with the economy being so bad. If you want info on rescue, let me know and i will get it for you.

I wish mine would gravitate to dogs or cats. He just wants to herd them away from me. He is quite evil when it comes to other animals, whether it be ducks, doves or geese. He goes to daycare and his vet/daycare providers have sent the dog whisperer letters trying to get him help because of his fixation on me. He thinks anyone that he doesn't know is going to hurt me. So I guess that is a good thing.

Dolce, Florida is just fine! In fact one of Grissom's brothers live down there along with 3 other spins in the same family! We get pics at the Blue Water Spin club all the time of them lolling around the house then going out to their back yard for a swim in their pool!! Their parents dress them up for the holidays and everything!
This is Patti Johnson's email, she's the one that got me Grissom!
indiana.spinone@verizon.net
Please let me know if you need any more info on this wonderful breed or you get one!

That's his breed! Cattle dog right? It's his life's blood to herd whether it's animals or children. Have you thought of joining a fly ball team to burn some of that energy off. I find that breed clubs are an absolutely wonderful wealth of information. Grissom has abandonment issues too. But I am now able to leave him at day care w/o him freaking out. You can't undo what a dog was bred to do, but you can work with it and get through to him what you want! Fly ball or other organized dog activities like that help the dog focus and give him purpose. Check it out and a breed club, I'm sure you two can work this out.
