One of my neighbors told me tonight that she (I'm guess it's a she - because she was so damn aggressive) attacked my neighbors granddaughter over the weekend.

Raccoons that attack without being cornered, should be considered a high risk for rabies. Even though they're nocturnal, be watchful during the day, Jackie! Advancing rabies can cause them to be out in daylight!

I would think each city has it's own regulations about that.  Think it is illegal in most but maybe there is an exception for protecting life and limb and property?  You could call your local LE and ask.  Might want to say you were MT or use a phone not in your own name.

Good one CBB, but wouldn't someone in the neighborhood have to complain about shots being fired. Unless you had a cop close by when it was fired. That would be my luck.

I heard of a girl who got bit by a rabid squirrel when I was young, she had to get the shots.  Take that thing seriously and do what you must.
