Hi music lady!! 

I think about you now when I hear a good song.   

OMG I so thought of You yesterday MaryMary. I was watching this cable show. I have never seen it before. Its called Man Vs Food. And he travels all over the US and attempts to EAT food in restaurants that is a " Challenge" like one was for him to drink 8 malted shakes within 30 mins. Only 20 or so people have been able to do it out of thousands. He lost that one lol. Or for him to eat the HOTTEST Curry dish known to man - He Won that one  I don't know how he did. The Chef who made the curry dish had to wear a gas mask ..due to the Heat " Spice" from the steam coming off the food itself... HOLY Heat.

But he as well travels to the most known and loved Restaurants - and He went to a Restaurant owned By  - " Ms. Gladys Knight" and she even Cooks too. She is all about it.
She has a dish called the " Night Train" and its fried chicken(her own spices a secret) and homemade Waffles.

Wow, that is interesting.  I've seen that show too.  Can't believe Glady's owns a restaurant...and cooks??  You would have really enjoyed my Karaoke act Deenie, I'll only say this cause Mytimes not here now but...I sometimes brought the house down.

They have too much power in the Office. Not enough power within the Teachers.
I know from all the years of talking to my Daughters Teachers - I would leave them just as frustrated as they felt.

So many times the Teachers would say - I have to do what I am told .. Well why is that? especially when the majority of you are against it and All are trying to achieve one thing - Educated Children who will be functioning " educated" and not only that " Wanting" to continue their experience within learning " Because You made a Difference" in their life.

I don't get it either, but I don't get half the stuff going on in todays schools

GE I had the Greatest Teacher who so influenced me " I was able to have her for 3 yrs". Spanish. Her name was Senora Lewis. She paid attention to Everyone and Everything. You could not get a Dust bunny past this woman. She was so Engaging and Talented in her Teaching. She when we were learning " Household" words/translation/objects. She had a metal tea set that was prob one of her daughters at one time.

She would Throw a cup right at you and Yell Que es Eso ??  And You had to Catch it, because otherwise it would hit your nugget..and when you caught it you had to respond in Spanish .. If you goofed up Hah..she would make you throw it back to her. UM talk about unconventional.
 she would consistently pick upon the more shy kids ( moi) and engaged us from day one. Because in her Class NO one was invisible. And she made it so We all were equals and we all learned at the same level. I had straight A's in her classes.
She would make up funny voices and Sing and make us laugh and I would think at the end of the day - She had to have been exhausted. 

She come to find out, she was married to her childhood sweetheart and had lost him to brain cancer after 20 yrs of marriage. She never let " the Red Tape" The hierarchy of school/office politics influence her. She was always " Out of her Box" and She was So Loved. And Everyone felt the same way about her ..after they got " Her" and everything that she gave. She is one of my heroes. I can def say that. Her first name was Kay. And that is part of my Daughters name.  Teachers like her are a Lifetime of memories in many ways.

My favoite lunch in the whole world was when my mom packed Baloney sandwich, Orange Juice and Snowball cupcakes.  It was very rare, I usually ate school lunch, yuk.

Deenie there are some really wonderful teachers out there. They are getting to be fewer and fewer of them. I have 4 nieces and nephews that teach, I have watched them battle the system from day one trying to teach the kids and do the right thing for all their students. I have worked with some outstanding teachers and some that never ever should have been allowed to teach anyone. They have to battle to get any thing done for the kids. I believe you that your teacher was well loved by all. Most caring parents and children know who are there for them and not just a pay check. 
You are very lucky to have had such a carrying teacher.

CBB I don't know where Senora Lewis is .. she is in her 70's now I think. I am sure she is retired.
She was a Beautiful Human being as a teacher. I am sure she is Having Fun where ever she is now.  That's a given. Funny short story. She went to College in Mexico Exchange Student. And she as always was One that stood out with her personality. She went all over to meet and greets within the country of Mexico. Her first month in Mexico she learned a hard lesson. She would be asked by others of course .. What is your Name? and Como Te llamas? and she would respond Me llama Kay. Well that didn't go over so well. Because " Que" is WHAT in Spanish.
So people either thought she was being a Smart ass College Kid from the States or she was DEAF ?  Lol.

Thank You GE I know I was blessed by her for 3 great years.
what drives me crazy is 23 year olds teaching High School. Everyone has to start somewhere but I find it to be difficult for a 23 yr old to be separate from the mind of a 17/18 yr old. As we have seen in the news too often enough. Teacher's partying with students and or WORSE and you know what I mean.
