And another thing, chipmonks chewed up wires in my car and it cost $300+ to get them replaced.  The wires replaced, not the chipmonks.

We need to come up with a safe place for Jackie to live....free of vermin, bugs and humans!!!

2NJ, aren't you skeered of the bears?   I'd be afraid to go outside. 

Anna, I am, and it's made an impact on my summer living.....can't enjoy my yard and flowers like I used to.  Tomorrow it's me, the dog and 2 cats for most of the day.  I HAVE to go out, but I'm always on alert.  My neighbor's do call me if they see them and I'm inside.  That's good, but then I get leery of going out...not sure of where they went. 

I'm with mytime...I'll bait a hook anyday.....

I have a Issue as well in me backyard. Oh Snap, its not a Bear but its just as Confronting.

Its a Red Tail Hawk. Last year I witnessed Adult Squirrels being Whisked away with its great Talons..as they were within my yard. I have seen Pigeons taken like they were a Cotton Ball .. and Me Doggie then was all of 4lbs. She is now just a year and weighs 8lbs. So when I let her out I have daily pure fear in my heart that she too will fall victim to this Hawk. He/she I have seen multiple times early this spring circling .. I have not seen a Hawk since April. But I worry every single time I let Deenie out. I watch her like my life depends on it. If she is outside I look out the windows and if I am not doing that - I am standing in the yard itself. And then I think - What the Hell could I do? A Red Tail Hawk is much faster and keener than I could ever be.

I live less than a Mile from the Detroit Zoo so when its warm I think the Hawks feed off of the Zoo little critters.. they are not caged ..but open. And we have tons of squirrels. I have every little critter in my backyard as well. Rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels, mice, skunk. Every single time I let my doggie out in the backyard my blood pressure cranks and I freak because I never know when that Hawk is around.

That site Deenie put up makes it sound like I am abusing her giving her the gluten.  I thought I had done my homework with that food. 
Many, many years ago my 5.5 pound teacup weighted 8.8pds and was having all kinds of issues.  Vet told me to get the kids to quit feeding her and get the weight off ASAP and I did.  OMG it was like having a puppy again.  She is now approaching 13 and people will still think she is two.

My friend fed her Yorkie the worst food, gave her chocolate, etc.  The little dog lived to be 17 yrs old and was always in great health.  So.......   

Oh no - my teacup did the half a box of Russel Stover chocolates and nearly died.  She is like a cat with 9 lives.  The coon, the chocolate, the vacuum cleaner, heart worms and this week she is baby sitting my sons black lab!

Now I have to go to sleep and sure hope I don't dream about pythons and all these critters!  A friend of mine opened a kitchen drawer and there was a snake inside it recently just as a thought to keep in mind.  I think about that some times and hesitate when opening drawers in the kitchen near the sink.  He said it was probably there for the water.

I love the picture Deenie. The other night was sitting on the back porch on the phone when grand son says Gramma what is that? Looked and there was two skunks walking across the drive way, lets just say we came in.

  It's been so hot that they haven't been able to go out and play. They did get registerd for school today. Even with all the TV's going and music and games I really am glad to have them here. I can say it isn't boring that's for sure.
