We are having a new a/c and furnace installed today...it's only 81 now and it is supposed to get to 88... have fans up all over the place......UGH!!

I feel sorry for you.     
 
It will be nice when its working again though!   

ooppsss forgot to mention that my cockers are laying in front of a fan and their ears are blowing like this guys hair! 

    Sounds like your dogs are pretty smart.   

Sassy, I think spoiled might be more appropriate...but of course I think they are smart...heck they have me trained pretty darn good!!

As I wait to see if tornado is coming toward me, and if my doggie feels better.....I came to musings...............to find that  is really port a potty monkey?????????

Thanks Klaas for the supporting info - I got side tracked.  My teacup poodle is sick........ she tossed her cookies and she never does that, so hopefully I am not off to the vet today. 
Anna and Mere- Wreck is smart cookie, I yield to him.  But wanted to share my experience so you didn't just chuck the laptop too soon. 

ANJ - hope the little one is OK....what's her name? color?

STUPID QUESTION I don't know anything about video recorders. My sister recorded me on one yesterday and she gave me what looks like a cassette tape. Does anyone know how to get that cassette downloaded to a DVD/CD so I can download it to my computer? TIA JSM

ANJ...no need for you to defer to anyone....I am so happy to have the information....It made me sick to see that screen go black and I do think it is getting worse.  I printed the material and sat there
trying to think about how to connect my View Sonic screen (from the desktop computer) to the laptop
but then I know I cannot fool around with my remaining computer.

I am in a rural area and will take the laptop to Office Depot where I bought it.  I will see if I can get the head of the computer department to talk with me about it.

You found information I could not find and I so appreciate that.....
