JSM'S BEGGING FOR BANNING THREAD #2

I have an HMO, we have had an HMO for so many years, we are use to the bs that we have to follow. Everything, even eye examines have to be authorized. We pay ten dollars an office visit. If you go to the ER and stay in the hospital, there is no charge. If you go to the ER and then leave it costs fifty dollars. We pay five and fifteen dollars for prescriptions, depending if it is generic or not. Is this new health reform going to be worse then this? I have no complaints about the costs, or what is deducted from my husband's check for it. I'm confused reading the reform, and like I said yesterday, I wish someone would explain it in a way that an average citizen could understand.

NOROSE, I think you will not have a HMO anymore. I believe we will first be all put on the same system. Then we will be divided into young, old, mentally and physically infirmed. Then when it is time for you to have treatment, you will be evaluated and put in a line for whatever they think you you need, and when they think you need it. It may or may not be free. If you by chance do have your own insurance that is better than this, it will be taxed heavily by the government. That is how I read it.

 My hubby and I are both on Medicare Advantage, which we pay for. We will both be chit out of luck. My Hubby has had a stroke already, so in their eyes he is flawed like the "+++++++" people. It is probably going to be hard to even get his meds for seizures or for keeping his arteries unblocked.No chance at all for having a proceedure for unblocking his good carotid they have been watching. He'd be too old and not qualified in their eyes.

If my back finally gets to the point I can no longer stand the pain, I am screwed too. They will just give me massive doses of pain med, maybe, and I will be bedbound and encouraged by their hospice program to just go ahead and die. I have already made my plans if that should happen......

Frightening, I'm thinking also my husband had surgery on his lung, and they took a mass off, it wasn't cancer, but I'm sure he will be looked at as flawed. All the people in this country who have either had a heart attack, stroke, cancer, learning disablities, down syndrome, I could go on and on, there will certainly be a lot of flawed people. So if a company has health insurance for their employees, they will be taxed so heavily that they will not offer insurance to the workers anymore. Well, I have issues, with my back and right leg, so people like us will just be given pain pills until we die? Maybe my mom saying years ago that they are going to gather up the elderly on trucks and put them all somewhere wasn't so far fetched?

I believe it, JSM. What terrifies me is that most Americans cannot fathom that anyone in a position of power to effect such a change, would go down this path. It simply doesn't enter the realm of possibility. It's much more in keeping with what they believe to hear that 40 million will be covered that currently are in need of healthcare. The media can no longer be depended upon to bring just unbiased facts to light, and golden tongue Obama talks so "purdy".

I'm scared. I'm scared of the votes they have and I'm scared of an apathetic public. I'm scared of a census that will redraw the lines so that even if there is increased awareness, the restructure of voting districts, elections corrupted by Acorn, and autonomy to czars will insure that the balance of power is forever frozen according to Obama's plan.

Hillary Clinton has told Israel to "be more patient with Iran." Hillary ought to keep her big mouth out of it. If one of Iran's missles were pointed at her fancy Chappaqua, NY home, she would be singing a different tune. I'd like to see her and Bill on the same HealthCare plan that Obama wants for us too.  JMO

Just remember Monkeys, we can make a difference.

Today at Mass there were about 50 to 60 high school kids from all over that are attending a "Pro Life" boot camp at the University. The priest made it known that these kids are there to learn about the culture of life, all life from birth to natural death. So if these kids are learning about what this bill is going to do to their parents and grandparents, they will tell their friends, etc.

Oh and by the way, I HATE OBAMA, HARRY REID, NANCY PELOSI, RAHM EMMANUEL AND HIS BROTHER AND MICHELLE OBAMA AND TED KENNEDY!

I HATE them more than all the Anthonys, Baez, and the two frumpy attorney women combined.

I was transfixed on the audience and had to go back for seconds. They all were shrugging their shoulders and had a WTF look on their faces. Thank goodness, there may be some people in California besides NOROSE who have some common sense. That was truely scarey to know those types are walking among us. And you know her parents spent perfectly good money to "educate" her at Berkley. She couldn't even string few words together to make a complete sentence. "Like, you know......."
