One would hope that the president would serve a better beer, heck even Corona would be a big improvement over Bud and Pabst.    I haven't had a Pabst since a teenager, Pabst is in on tap at all the local bars, and it tastes crappy.

Fox had a picture up just now of Gates, Obama, and Sgt Crowley and underneath it said "Say you are sorry." There's a couple of them there that should say it to the other one. Crowley has nothing to say "I'm sorry" about.  I am in a black mood today.   

  No he doesn't, he was doing his job and Gate prejudged Crowley as a racist and blew a fuse...........maybe the next time there is a burglary at that address the police will be to afraid to answer it because if they don't do everything the way Gates wants is they to will be labeled a racist.

Policeman Crowley better be careful, he might be called a whitey at Thursday's beer bash. 

I'm sure he already has been and worse most likely I wouldn't go for anything to the "beer summit", and I'm just waiting on Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson to throw in their two cents, and that's really all their input is worth IMO

I am over the edge pizzed off at forcing Sgt Crowley to be put in this position. They will have a photo op with the three of them together and look like they are having a Kumbaya moment. "Look here, we were right, and Sgt. Crowley apologized."

I feel like throwing up my coffee and orange juice this morning. It's a good thing they don't have a redneck police sgt from where I am from. They would have shoved the beer bottle up somebody's azz and never said sorry even if they were in the WH.

Hi Lucinda~great to see you posting again.........unfortunately politics here are turning into the meaning of life as in when the government can say you don't deserve to have one anymore

In my house if we didn't talk politics, we'd have nothing to talk about because my son is a political junkie and has been for yrs (and he's only 9  )

We may have all felt like you at one time or another in our lives. However, things have gotten really out of hand here, mostly because of thinking the way you do in point (a-(c. If you don't watch out for them, they will take every aspect in you life over. Unfortunately, there are too many here that think as you do here, and now we are really in a mess, maybe too big a mess to get out of. JMO

jsm, i just noticed your avatar, thats awesome.  Im LOL, cos Im starting to turn my skinny arms into muscles by lifting weights, actually, skinny isnt the truth, its the ova 40 flab that hangs down Im trying to build up.  Its hard, so all you young ones, keep up your arm muscle's, even just lifting cans of beans up and down, like, hold a can of beans in your hand, then hold your arm out straight, then lift, 50 times a day on the bean cans should do it, each arm tho.  It doesnt matter how fat or skinny you are, reach age 40, everything heads south,

Thanks Lucinda~and give yourself some credit, you are smart! Our politics have changed dramatically , so much in fact that it would be hard for anyone who doesn't dig deep into the Senate/House bills and read them to really understand them............it's a damn shame what is happening to our country and it makes me sad. Hey, I am always on the verge of a breakdown so don't feel bad.......I thought for sure I would lose it when my grandson died, but faith and support from all my family, friends and monkey friends helps me get thru one day at a time

WASHINGTON -- A senior House Democrat wants to toughen President Barack Obama's new restrictions on Wall Street pay by banning salaries and bonuses that encourage what the government considers "inappropriate risk."

The proposal by Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., which will be considered Tuesday by the House Financial Services Committee, would give the government unprecedented power in how financial executives are rewarded.

Obama has shied away from such direct intervention, even as administration officials argued that excessive compensation in the private sector contributed to the financial crisis.
