hi no rose,
life is a very sad, and you are saying what I meant to say about news and politics.  Maybe you arent, but I am one person who has been there done that, debated that, and yet, watched two killers walk free.  I am watching our Murray River die, and i spent eight months in a political re but, and you know what?  I have given up.  And like I said, one, I cant understand, two i dont care.  three see one and two, I said it the other day.  I mean it too, nothing you can do about it.  I was a big advocate, still always will be for victims of crime in South Australia, maybe that makes me politically understanding, but I dunno, I hate the big words pollies use, cos i dont understand wth they are saying.  When i say i dont understand politics, I shoulda said "I dont understand the shyte that spurts out their gobs"

 BOSTON —  Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. has sent flowers and a note to the woman who unwittingly sparked a national debate on race by calling police to report what she thought might be a break-in at Gates' home.

Wendy Murphy, the lawyer for Lucia Whalen, called the flowers a "gesture of gratitude." She declined to say what was in the accompanying note.

Whalen's 911 call drew police to Gates' Cambridge home on July 16. The subsequent confrontation between Gates, who is black, and Sgt. James Crowley, who is white, ended in Gates' arrest for disorderly conduct, a charge that was later dropped.

I love your avi, I have been spending two months of lifting weights, and I look like your avi LOLOL  I got a flex muscle, I swear, Im over the exercise bullshyte, the give up smoking bullyshyte and I want a beer.  I go in hospital end of the month, but I want to not go, cos I know they are swarmed with swine flue.  Noone listens to me tho.

I fail badly, but really like your self and most members here, we are not perfect, but we have kind hearts.  Love Luci, ps heres a    for all us who just dont quite "measure up".  In gods terms, we are all welcome in his world, even sinners are forgiven, heck all I done wrong is swear words and fighting stuff.  Defending, not causing.  So, I am far from perfect, but, my lord will take me in heaven, cos in my whole life, I have done more good for people than bad.  I will leave this thread now, but hugs and prayers for everyone.  Love Luci

I was just reading your post in Robert's thread, and am saddened to read that in Canada you also have a problem with your social services, and allowing kids to either stay or return to a home that is basically a death sentence for some kids

I had been following a story that was on our front pages about the death of a baby girl. The family had been really involved with social serices, all of the family. Two different agencies due to who was in charge at different times.  It appears no one was in charge. The girl was returned to her Bio Dad and his common law wife. The common law wife's own children had been removed from her care, but they gave them custody of his baby girl.
The girl's cause of death was a skull fracture, but at the inquest, the medical examiner found other old injuries. They found that even in the light of abuse being known by these agencies, noone took any action. Oh, they are overworked, underpaid, have too many clients and I guess don't own phones as they never spoke to each other. They made copious notes in their files, but never shared the files with each other or took any other action.
I din't go to the inquest, but some of it was in the paper and when it became public information, I read the entire telephone book thick stack of papers from the actual inquest. I shredded the papers afterwards and began to wonder why God put some persons on the earth. Or why some children are born and never have a moment of happiness or love. Never a hug or a kiss or proper food or clothes. We had plenty of financial support for the persons who were looking after this girl and that was why these creeps wanted her as she came with a monthy cheque and cash social services benefits.

Lucinda, I don't know why you are going into the hospital, but make sure you EAT the immune system building foods.
I have to start eating differently and am going to a nutritionist next week to get the advice. In the meantime, I am looking on the net for immune system boosting foods. Not supplements, food. Sweet taters are one of the best foods and I am having them with the turkey dinner tomorrow. Spinach, romaine lettuce, yogurt ( ugh ).

It just sickens me what some children have to go through, and it seems everyday there is another horrible story.

Good Morning, just one sad news story after another. I finally went to bed and had a lot to catch up on Robert's thread  Sometimes I wish I owned no tv's or computers, and didn't know about anything going on in the world.

I know what you mean.   I haven't been able to stand watching the news much this summer - between the missing/murdered children cases, Obama/Pelosi and their BS plans/stupid remarks, and the constant examination of Michael Jackson's life - I just can't stomach it.       WTH is this world coming to?
