City May Add 'In God We Trust' To Logo
Commissioner Cites Disagreement With Country's Direction Under Obama

POSTED: Thursday, July 23, 2009
UPDATED: 7:40 am EDT July 23, 2009
KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Citing a disagreement with President Barack Obama, a Central Florida city considers changing its logo to incorporate the motto "In God We Trust."
Commissioner Art Otero proposed the addition, saying he disagrees with the direction the country is going under Obama.

The town's logo currently includes a Brahman bull and palm trees against a lake and setting sun.

Commissioners discussed changing the logo for 45 minutes at a recent meeting, debating the motto but also the design's colors and whether the horns of the bull should be larger. Commissioners also talked about the cost of changing the motto on city vehicles, decals and official stationery.

The logo changes could be approved by the commission next month.

That projectile vomiting and a kid will clear just about anywhere, mine did that in a shopping cart once, and vomited all over the box of cheezits she was holding

One of my sons projectiled in a mountain hotspring that was packed full of seniors hoping to cure their arthritis.  We had been driving for about 6 hours with stops to get popcorn, Orange pop and grapejuice.  You can image the rainbow that was floating in the water when he was done.  I took him and my other son out of the pool, got dressed and left.
That wins the prize, hands down.

Nite Monkeys. On my way to watch Eastenders, figure skating or Lawrence Welk.
Not Lawrence Welk  Do you really like that show, I remember that show being on when I was young, and had no choice but to watch it. Have a good night  an angelic monkey  Eastenders is a good show.
I do like Lawerence Welk No Rose. Reminds me of my Grandmother.
Good Morning, yes back when the show was on, everybody seemed to watch it, and now with the reruns on PBS people are still watching. I think also it is a show that one can watch with the whole family and not be embarrassed by things, like with some of the shows now.

JSM, Lawerence Welk looked like you grandmother????
No I used to watch it with my grandmother Silly.

I was kidding you. My daddy would never miss a show, and even when they went to syndication, he would come into the house several times a day, when they would be on different channels. Lawence Welk is in my blood. Occassionally I watch a rerun for old times sake.  an angelic monkey
I watch it on Sundays, except when it cuts in to the Polka show on the radio.

You are probably right.I know Glen Beck has talking about this for a while.there are a lot of people that know what's going on.This administration will do nothing, unless somebody can finds a way to force it.

The only hope right now is if it is a state by state prosecution of them. The Feds won't be allowed to do anything.

GOP Congressional Report Accuses ACORN of Political Corruption, Widespread Fraud
House Republicans issuing a report Thursday accusing ACORN of fraudulent activities and widespread corruption, concluding a criminal investigation into the advocacy group is needed

FOXNews.com

Thursday, July 23, 2009
<snipped>
ACORN engaged in a scheme to use taxpayer money to support a partisan political agenda, according to a new report from Republicans on a House oversight committee.

The report, to be released Thursday afternoon, accuses ACORN of fraudulent activities and widespread corruption and calls for a criminal investigation into the advocacy group. It offers the first detailed account of the allegations that have dogged the organization in recent months.

ACORN, or the Association of Community Organizations for Reform, has been under constant fire from conservatives since last year for its support of Barack Obama's presidential candidacy and its planned participation in next year's 2010 census.

The report will be released by Rep. Darrell Issa, the top Republican on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and Issa's GOP colleagues.

Evidence found in the report relies in part on documents provided by former ACORN employees.

"Operationally, ACORN is a shell game played in 120 cities, 43 states and the District of Columbia through a complex structure designed to conceal illegal activities, to use taxpayer and tax-exempt dollars for partisan political purposes, and to distract investigators," the report read.

"Structurally, ACORN is a chess game in which senior management is shielded from accountability by multiple layers of volunteers and compensated employees who serve as pawns to take the fall for every bad act."

OMG!! He's coming to Ohio to show the Cleveland Clinic how it works!!

I heard that, and no kidding he has the best health care, and so does congress.

I call intimidation!!!! Go to Walter Reed and show them how its done. I heard they needed some housecleaning. Start at home!!!

Unfortunately, for many military people living in the Washington DC area - Walter Reed is closing, leaving a lot of us Active Duty Military and Retired Military waiting in longer lines trying to get into NNMC Bethesda.    I believe they should have gone in and cleaned house at Walter Reed but not closed the facility.   BTW - The military health system was already used as a guinea pig during the Clinton Administration - thanks Hilary.     When my husband went into the military back the 70s, he was promised military health care for him and his family for the rest of his life, as part of his pay/benefits.   The Clinton Administration changed that.   We now have to pay for Tricare (military health insurance) and also pay co-pays and ASI (insurance for disasters like long care, i.e., chemotherapy, lifesupport, etc.).   Getting to see a doctor is a pain in the ass, which is why I haven't been to one for two years.    The military community always gets it stuck up their ass first, when democrats are in the white house.  sorry for the rant.

My Mom loved Lawrence Welk.  Her favourite was Gaby Haas though.  He was considered Mr. Polka up here.  He later toured as Gaby Haas and the Barn Dance Gang.  A few years back we took my mom with us on vacation to Manitou Lake so that we could take her to the Rainbow Danceland which is a huge barn built in the 40's complete with horsehair under the dance floor.  They had a Gaby Haas tribute band.
