I'm totally shocked as well, being that it is so liberal. I think the world must have shifted, let's see this is happening, and my daughter confused the he!! out of me this morning about she shouldn't have voted for Obama. Now if husband comes home and he says something like that........
  She actually said that? If her mind is changing, maybe more young uns will change as well.

That smirk on his face is disgusting, so I guess he really didn't apologize, just needed to go out and make some comments, because he knew he better.   JSM, yes my daughter said that this morning, she is very upset with what went down in Cambridge.

WASHINGTON (AP)—The White House says the media's "obsessions" are keeping alive President Barack Obama's comments about the arrest of a Harvard scholar seen trying to get into his own house.

Asked whether Obama regretted commenting on the matter, spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters that the president probably would regret distracting the media with "obsessions."

That sounds great    No this isn't over, Obama did not apologize, he just regrets the statements. That isn't good enough, apologize.

Thanks No Rose for the link, I read it a bit ago. I kept thinking in the back of my mind, I know that prof Gates, but couldn't pinpoint it.

Then I realized after looking at the mug shot he is on a PBS show something like History Detectives. Everytime I watch that show, he is all about (no matter what they are researching) that it is the white man's fault. I stopped watching that show because it was so anti American. Don't know if y'all have ever watched the show, but if you haven't DON'T.
