You just know the middle class will be paying for a lot of this health care reform, I don't give a sh!t what they are saying. The middle class always seems to be the ones hit the worst.

You are right No Rose, the middle class always gets hit, BUT these people are SOCIALISTS and don't believe in Captialism, so they really want to TAX the RICH (themselves excluded) into bankruptcy.

Just an FYI, I remember being a kid during the Carter administration, my parents were "middle class". I was in Jr High and we weren't starving or anything, but I remember when Ronald Reagan  won the election, my family was a lot better off than in the Carter admin. JMO JSM

We were living in Albuquerque, that was my first election that I was able to vote in. I remember being in line, and an elderly couple said to my husband and I that Jimmy Carter was going to be the next president. Being young and a know it all, I started to laugh and said yeah right, who has ever heard of Jimmy Carter and it isn't going to happen..... 

We had an election in the fifth grade, I was the only one to vote for Gerald Ford. My first election was RR second, and I drove all the way home from college to vote for him.

He is and will always be a great hero of mine. Margaret Thatcher, Lech Walesa, JPII, and Vaclev Havel along with both George Bushes are also my heroes. Just don't tell the hubby, but JSM has a crush on Donald Rumsfeld.

Good Morning.  Glad to see everyone is safe.  We had another dark cloud yesterday.  Oldest son and 5 buddies drove down to a 4 day music festival.  It was hit with a freak storm last night, stage collapsed on 170 people, 1 dead, 4 critical, hundreds hurt.  Not heard from any of them yet.  Rogers cut cell service down to only emergency crews so no one can get through on any of their cell phones.  Please pray for all the people that were and still are there and that we hear from him soon.  The second link has pictures from the event before and after the stage collapsed.

Iran Awaits Ayatollah's Nod to Build Atomic Bomb

Iran has perfected the technology to create and detonate a nuclear warhead and is merely awaiting the word from its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to produce its first bomb, Western intelligence sources have told The Times of London.

The sources said that Iran completed a research programme to create weaponised uranium in the summer of 2003 and that it could feasibly make a bomb within a year of an order from its Supreme Leader.

A U.S. National Intelligence Estimate two years ago concluded that Iran had ended its nuclear arms research programme in 2003 because of the threat from the American invasion of Iraq. But intelligence sources have told The Times that Tehran had halted the research because it had achieved its aim — to find a way of detonating a warhead that could be launched on its long-range Shehab-3 missiles.

Obama officials: Taxes may rise to pay health care

WASHINGTON – Two of President Barack Obama's economic heavyweights said middle-class taxes might have to go up to pare budget deficits or to pay for the proposed overhaul of the nation's health care system.

The tough talk from Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and National Economic Council Director Lawrence Summers on Sunday capped a week that brought rare good news for the economy: The worst recession in the United States since World War II could be on the verge of ending. Even so, officials appeared willing to extend unemployment benefits.

Geithner and Summers both sidestepped questions on Obama's intentions about taxes. Geithner said the White House was not ready to rule out a tax hike to reduce the federal deficit; Summers said Obama's proposed health care overhaul needs funding from somewhere.

"There is a lot that can happen over time," Summers said, adding that the administration believes "it is never a good idea to absolutely rule things out, no matter what."
