WITI-TV, RACINE - The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile got itself into quite a pickle when it crashed into a Racine home Friday morning.

Neighbors tell FOX 6 the Wienermobile took a wrong turn and ended up on the dead-end street, Kenilworth Avenue in Racine.

While trying to get turned around, the woman driving the hot dog on wheels accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake and lodged the Wienermobile under a house.

The Wienermobile was taken from the scene by tow truck.

The homeowner was recently dropped by her insurance company, and hopes Kraft Foods will cover the damage. However, the driver of the weinermobile did not leave any contact information.

My son told me that the wind hit before the storm hit.  The clouds were still at a distance away and no one expected the huge gust of wind.  His group had left the concert bowl and were heading to the beer.  They were walking along the side when the wind hit and were helping to hold down one of the big tents as it was leaning toward the crowd.  Some of the tent poles from the tents snapped in the wind.  There were people running everywhere and with the dust and stuff flying in the air he was surprised that anyone could even see where they were running to.  They lost two tents contents and all.  Many people had minor injuries - scrapes, bruises etc.  The line up of ambulances ready to take the injured was something he had never seen before.  The promoters/police had asked people to stay the night rather than cloggin the highways so that the emergency vehicles could get through and with what had happened people who may need to calm down and had been drinking should not be on the highway to begin with.  Kevin Costner was the next band up after the dinner break( I did not know he even had a band).  He was unhurt but two people from his crew were taken to the Camrose hospital.  Kevin was walking around the hospital and checking on everyone that was in hospital from the event and talking to their families to see how they were doing and giving his wishes .  The Church was collecting names of people and families that were showing up at the hospital were sent to the Church as the hospital is very small and could not handle everyone except the injured.  They saw a 8/9 year old boy who was trapped under the stage and broke his collar bone.  His mother told them that what saved this boy was his crocs.  Had he not had on slip on shoes his foot would have remained pinned under the stage.  People with motor homes and campers were offering those in tents a place to sleep for the night and took them in. It was a huge effort by everyone there to look after each other from what he had said.

As he said "beer saved me".

No. Rose, I was going to post this in the prayer thread, but thought it might be too disprectful, even for me! You raised your boy right...."Save the beer, save your life!" I'm so glad he's ok!

I am as well Trevye.  I will update the prayer thread later.  I was holding off as I thought about Monkey Nut and her son's friend who was killed.  I may be to hard for her to read it.

Well, like I said before I'm a John Lennon fan
Since my grandson is named Lennon, and his daddy's name is Jon, you can tell who we thought the brains behind the Beatles was. Sadly, ages ago, I went for the cute looks and not the brains.  Oh, and I didn't know enough to read liner notes then, either. but I really thought it was funny that John Lennon got a giggle out of how many of the fans were always trying to figure out what his lyrics meant. Mostly now I know they meant he had a great supply of great drugs, and a thesaurus! Monkey Devil!

I drive by where they were found every day on my way home. I say a prayer for them and all the girls/women that have been murdered because of a religion that treats women as objects, not as human beings.

 Monkey Devil!  Hey Tevye.

Hey Trimm! I'm gonna go lie down for a bit, still haven't gotten my test results back yet. When I called them this am, they asked how to spell my last name. I told them B-I-T-C-H! So, I'm resting up before I call them again this afternoon, this time with a threat to camp in their office until I get results...any results. Gotta go get my bitch on! Oh, and the powegirl lipstick will be used this afternoon, also!
