I am amazed they keep saying 4 short blocks.  When I look at the photos, it seems more like 8 blocks to me.  It appears to be quite a distance.  1/2 mile or more. Is there a pictue of the block and houses where she was last seen? (or presumably last seen)

AZSunny,yes,it was longer than 4 blocks going by the map below.Looks like almost 6 blocks from where she was last seen.KaraK lives between 6th and 7th streets.

FYI - the relative of the other girl who said she also thought something bad was going to happen, is a friend of someone in marilyn's immediate family. These kids are all tied together.

Mama, that's the big question. What did these girls think was the "bad" thing about to happen.  It was on both their myspace pages.  I really don't know.

I'm not Sister, but I recall a friend of either LB or MK writing on her MySpace page almost exactly what LB had written about thinking or feeling something 'bad' was going to happen.

She was the one who took all the pics of herself sticking out her chest & most of the pics were taken in the bathroom. (If you saw them, this may help you remember her.)

Sorry, I don't recall her name, and now that all the MySpace pages have gone private, I doubt we can find her.

Just my hope, if you do figure out her name, she is just a child, please don't post it.  That's just me.

KarmaR, I think it can/does have the effect.  The article you posted is so direct in that regard and kids now days read more on the net than from a book.  I'm just concerned the kids won't speak up about anything, no matter how insignificant it may seem.

I was over in the first Lindsey thread re reading some stuff and I ran across this list that DD put together.The people who live on Maple ST.,Lindsey's route home.These people all live at the BeeHive retirement apartments at 401 Maple.I am still thinking that a relative(who is a predator)was visiting someone at the apartments and ran into Lindsey.BeeHive would be between 4th and 5th streets on Maple.
Interesting that there is a couple with last name of Campbell(last name of SS)  living there.I wonder if DD ever investigated the relationship between them to see if they are related?

KarmaR, I hear what you're saying, but even in the article you posted, the girls hadn't even told their parents and there were no other kids involved.  Unfortunately, kids don't often "rat" on other kids and they assuredly will not "rat" on their friends' family members, even when their personal friends are involved.  I guess that's why pure speculation bothers me in cases where there is still the possibility of a child being found alive.  If the kids talked to Melissa, they know she would go to LE so there is no way they would do that.  It's sad, the chilling effect is real.

An older guy matching the age of Richard Allen Phernetton that was arrested 7/20 in Montesanto was let go by the Strattleline ORV Park around the time of the search.  I don't know if it is the same person, but there can't be too many let go around that time.  I also heard he had his computer and car confiscated.  I hope someone digs a little more into this.  Also, where is karak?  She has over 125 posts from 6/28 to 7/17 and only 2 since.  She had a lot of information and may even know something about this Allen guy.  Now she seems to be very silent.  Does she know something she does not want to share?

KarmaR, I think it can/does have the effect.  The article you posted is so direct in that regard and kids now days read more on the net than from a book.  I'm just concerned the kids won't speak up about anything, no matter how insignificant it may seem.

That's a dang shame,I would hope her closest friends would speak up.They may not feel comfortable talking to LE but surely they would talk to Melissa.

KarmaR, I hear what you're saying, but even in the article you posted, the girls hadn't even told their parents and there were no other kids involved.  Unfortunately, kids don't often "rat" on other kids and they assuredly will not "rat" on their friends' family members, even when their personal friends are involved.  I guess that's why pure speculation bothers me in cases where there is still the possibility of a child being found alive.  If the kids talked to Melissa, they know she would go to LE so there is no way they would do that.  It's sad, the chilling effect is real.

An older guy matching the age of Richard Allen Phernetton that was arrested 7/20 in Montesanto was let go by the Strattleline ORV Park around the time of the search.  I don't know if it is the same person, but there can't be too many let go around that time.  I also heard he had his computer and car confiscated.  I hope someone digs a little more into this.  Also, where is karak?  She has over 125 posts from 6/28 to 7/17 and only 2 since.  She had a lot of information and may even know something about this Allen guy.  Now she seems to be very silent.  Does she know something she does not want to share?

This could be the same guy as a poster on WS(I think Scandi)called the park and the person she talked to who told her about this guy getting fired,had a last name that she couldn't remember,not a common last name.She did say his name was Allen something IIRC.
