Aberdeen Police are seeking help in tracking down a woman reported missing Monday afternoon, according to the Associated Press and KXRO-AM, and www.kxro.com.

Connie Jean Forbis (also known as Connie Jean Kelly) was last seen at 9:30 a.m. Monday heading towards the Aberdeen Library from her home on the 1500 block on Aberdeen Avenue.

According to the report, Forbis is described as a 39-year-old white female, 5 foot 3 inches, with a stocky build, long dark blond hair, blue eyes and was last seen wearing a blue cap, denim coat and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call Aberdeen Detectives Bret Ellis or Art Laur at 360 533 3180 or the Aberdeen Tip Line at 360 538-4450.

Hmmmmm,Aberdeen is real cloase to McCleary right?I also read where the Aberdeen Fair left town 2 weeks early because of weather and vendors commitment elsewhere.Fairs and Carnivals and such bring quite a few people with them from all over.

Search Center Underway for Missing 11 yr old Lindsey Baum
 
Desperate search for missing girl, Lindsey Baum

McCleary, WA. Lindsey Baum was walking home from a friend's house in the small town of McCleary, Washington on June 26, 2009 when she disappeared. “It's like she literally vanished,” said Melissa Baum, Lindsey's mother. Despite extensive, well coordinated searches by law enforcement, Lindsey is still missing. Lindsey's mother has called on two national non-profit organizations, the KlaasKIDS Foundation and Laura Recovery Center (LRC), to organize a community volunteer search.

Brad Dennis, Director of Search Operations for the KlaasKIDS Foundation said they will be holding a community meeting at 7pm Thursday, August 27, 2009 at the McCleary Community Center. Community members are encouraged to attend and learn about the two organizations and plans for the weekend search. The McCleary Community Center is located at 726 W. Simpson Ave, McCleary, Washington 98577.

Searches will be Friday,Saturday and Sunday so far.I sure hope our locals here at SM's attend the searches or help out at the search center.They also need donations of water and food.

United States of America service is not new to the Laura Recovery Center so it is no surprise that the plans have already been made and the start up details worked out.

The building has been chosen and so the new search center location will be The McCleary Community Center located just on the outskirts of downtown at 726 West Simpson Avenue. The search center will take a few days to get set up, most likely, since they need to get an idea of how many volunteers they will be able to pull in for weekend searches and to get everything organized and ready to go. In the mean time they will be holding a public meeting (see below) and looking for individuals willing and able to donate some of their time to help search as well as individuals who can offer help inside the search center.

Volunteers - If you are interested in volunteering please stop in at the Community Center between 9am and 4:30pm Friday August 28th or you call LRC toll free at 1-866-898-5723 or visit the site FindLindseyBaum.com and submit a contact form with the subject line "volunteer" and your contact information and you will be notified when searches are scheduled to start. If you have already emailed in previously during the original attempt to secure a search center building then you can expect an email in the next week, if you do not get it please resend your email including name and contact information: phone number and/or email. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and have a photo I.D. Searches will start that Friday!!
