We live in a "me, me, me" world. It's all about "me." That is what we are fed in commercial after commericial on the media of every kind. Let's have something that goes faster than the next guy, that is shinier, or newer, or better, because you deserve it.

Yes, it is a "me" world, where a problem isn't my problem, but someone else should take care of it. It filters down through all of society, pass the buck, not my job. "I shouldn't have to do anything distasteful, or hard, or heartwrenching." Judges, LE, Child Protective Services can be infected with this attitude too. Neighbors turn their eye the other way, relatives, friends, passersby, "why should I be concerned?" "Just go to my job, put in my hours, and look forward to the weekend or the time off to relax. Close the door, and the blinds and ignore the horrors going on just outside or on the other side of the wall.

In each and every case we see, there are always warning signs. Warning signs from the perpetrator or from the victims. But most choose to ignore the bells and whistles going off. "Not my job." No demands are made to insure the safety of children, who cannot help themselves. I can guarantee there were warning signs, hundreds of them for Robert. Hundreds of times that someone saw something, and did nothing.

In the meantime, Michael Jackson has been dead for four weeks. And if you watch much of the news, it is like it just happened. I saw a full hour of raw home video of MJ playing with his children when they were younger on Nancy Grace last night. Can anyone explain why this is more important than a little helpless eight-year old boy being murderd in Idaho?? Can anyone tell me why it is more important than Lindsay Baum missing in Washington state?? Or Haleigh Cummings in Florida?? What pricetag is on the lives of our precious children, and how skewed is that?

Rest in Peace Robert Manwell.  an angelic monkey

NG is in it purely for the ratings. She claims to "care" about the missing or the murdered, but everyday that's becoming less and less true.

She bashed MJ back in 2005 during his trial and now she can't get enough of airing his dirty laundry even in death. Let the man rest.

I didn't even know that little Jada Justice had been found dead because that was the same day MJ had died and NG has yet to report anything of her. Same thing goes for Haleigh, Adji, Lindsey...etc.

It was just reported on HLN Prime News that there's an opening to the New York Canal a mile and a half away from Robert's mother's apartment complex, but his body was found floating 5 miles away.

Since they were able to ID the body quickly I'm thinking it was that bloated and the family was allowed to come in and confirm it was him. That means he hadn't been out there very long which I find alarming.

Does anyone know if the area where Robert's body was found is close to SUV dude's home? I know his backyard was dug up and all that so I feel he is the biggest piece to this puzzle that's going to help solve this case.

Thanks Leroy, No Rose and all of you for the quick updates.

I apologize if y'all already know this, but I was able to confirm the Police report on Walli's suburban was filed on Monday the 27th, not on the 22nd as he alleged. He reported the theft and the recovery on the same day.

There is no doubt in my mind Robert was buried in that man's backyard temporarily.

Maybe I am missing something, how does a woman get a $75 fine and work release for fracturing her infants skull? How does she keep the other kids in an unsupervised setting? When will the courts decide to become proactive vs. reactive?

Thanks Blink - I was wondering if that was ever confirmed....sure seems strange to feel the need to repoort a vehicle stolen after you already have it back!  Wallis is up to no-good IMO.

I thought it was 1/2 mile away...but I'll go back and check.

I hope the mom had to ID him...however she probably wouldn't care anyways.

What HLN reported was in all the papers yesterday. Where the body was found was 14 miles away by car from the apartment, 2 miles away from the house that was searched.

Quote
The canal is about two miles southwest of a home Boise police searched Friday night — but it’s also connected to the New York Canal, which runs less than half a mile south of the Vista Avenue apartment complex from which Manwill was reported missing.

Not by car sorry.
As a crow flies it's about 8 miles, or 14 miles miles of water way.

Priority remains finding answers to Robert's death.

Thanking the community.

The answers they provide must come from a through investigation and evidence.

They continue to investigate.

Don't jump to conclusion and speculate. Answers must come from evidence.

Family asks for their privacy to be respected.

KVTB, from the coroner. Had decomposed so bad had to use dental records. He had been in the water a long time.

In a Tuesday press conference scheduled after the Ada County Coronor "tentatively" identified a dead boy found in the New York Canal as Robert, Kerns said police were engaged in a "very active" investigation, but cautioned against speculating about what could have happened and not to jump to any conclusions.
http://www.idahostatesman.com/newsupdates/story/855363.html

Question remains: How did Robert Manwill die?

"A news conference held at 4 p.m. by the Boise Police Department did not reveal any additional information. Click here to sign up for an alert to be informed when we learn more.

"Finding Robert will not be the end, but just the begining of an entirely new investigation," Boise Police Deputy Chief Jim Kerns said Tuesday afternoon.

Kerns made a brief statement, but did not take questions from the media."
