Boise Police to announce major development in Manwill homicide

Boise Police have scheduled a 7 p.m. news conference tonight to announce a major development in the Robert Manwill homicide investigation. The 8-year-old was found murdered earlier this month. We will carry the press conference live on NewsChannel 7.

I think they have done a great job for this boy.

I thought at first it was the mother due to her past history. I feel so rotten right now if she didn't have any clue to what happened to poor Robert. But I still think something is fishy about her, JMO JSM

I think Danny was the one that cracked the baby's head and she took the wrap for it. That's JMO.

I don't think she was involved with Robert's death other than picking a   monster for a boyfriend and allowing him to be around her children knowing that he is a monster.

I am thrilled there has been arrest made.

Pink, me too. I felt so bad when I was caught up in my own world and didn't know he was missing. Then once I read up, I knew the BF did it. Oh for the love of God how can a person hurt an innocent child like Robert and all other children.  My heart is breaking for his family right now. Sorry for the rant. JSM 

Not a rant at all. I feel the same way.
I don't understand it either. It makes me angry, it makes me so angry that five minutes alone with anyone that harms a child, I could see me easily crossing the dark side....if you know what I mean.

I am tiny but I am scrappy. I could inflict pain.

Makes me so mad, how can a person hurt a child or an animal for that matter (snakes excluded)? I just don't get it? I know the BF's dad said the mom was harsh to Robert, was that because of the BF? Was the dad just saying that to keep his son out of trouble? I'm not tiny, but I could whoop him up right about now. Robert was tiny. A tiny little boy with a big heart that didn't deserve this. How many more Robert's and Caylee's and the other children will it take for this not to happen anymore. I am just beside myself right now.

Some woman stay with abusive men. I don't understand it at all. I don't understand why they would allow their children to be put in such danger. It does happen though. Over and over and over again.

IF that is what happened. She is every bit as guilty in my mind.

Mother's boyfriend arrested in case of missing boy

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Boise police have arrested Daniel Ehrlick Jr. in connection with the disappearance and death of 8-year-old Robert Manwill, The Idaho Statesman has reported.

Manwill was missing for more than a week before his body was found floating in a Boise canal on Aug. 3. Police said evidence showed the death was not accidental.

Ehrlick is the boyfriend of Manwill's mother, Melissa Jenkins.

Ehrlick's father, Daniel Ehrlick Sr., told the Statesman that he didn't know what the charge was or if anyone else had been arrested. Boise Police Chief Mike Masterson did not immediately release any information, but a news conference was planned for 7 p.m.
