jsm-i dont know the answer to your question, i'm sorry Sad  i don't think that info has been made public but i think its an important piece to the puzzle as to why this house is being searched.  in order for them to have a search warrent they have to have some probable cause to go search the home...i hope they update the press with new developments as they come

I think that the mom or boyfriend is talking...a little at a time...which is why all of the new developments.  Or maybe I just hope they are...

the reports said neither Mom nor Boyfriend were at the news conference today...hmmmmm

I'm praying Fanny, just a little sad that a tiny boy has been missing and he was with his "mother" that had already bashed in a tiny baby's head.

My friend is going to court on Monday to get custodial rights of her nephew, no abuse, just neglect and drug addiction on the parent's part. My friend has been through h*ll with CPS wanting the kids to see their parents, etc. And it angers me to no end that Robert's mother had any contact with this little boy with her past history.

You have to wonder what these courts are thinking sometimes.  My nephews dad accused my sister and I of doing drugs in front of my nephew...simply accused us...and the judge has now ordered ME to take random drug tests as a condition of the custody arrangement!  I am fine with doing so because I do not use any drugs and actually I am happy that this judge is being proactive in making sure my nephews best interests come FIRST!

Here you have a mother that was charged, not accused, of harming a child and yet she gets a slap on the wrist and now look where we are

Thank you Northern Rose.

Nancy Grace:
More than 2,000 volunteers search today.
The renters of the house had a SUV that was stolen and returned. They know Robert. That's all the info he has (the reporter) has gleemed.

Yup, they were not. Dad was there with his wife Anton, his older son, his brother (a girlfriend or wife of one of them) and Aunt Trish.

That is odd because all the news reports today said one red SUV was taken.

Missing Boise boy 'may be the victim of a tragic event'

BOISE - Authorities say they now believe Robert Manwill's disappearance is based on "suspicious circumstances."
Jim Kerns, Boise Police deputy police chief, said Friday Robert is still missing but he may be injured.

"Overnight, we located evidence that may bring us closer to finding out what happened to Robert," Kerns said at a Friday news conference. "The evidence we've uncovered shows there are suspicious circumstances regarding Robert's disappearance."

"He may be the victim of a tragic event."

Friday's massive volunteer search for the boy will continue.

Just after 8 p.m. on Thursday, detectives started searching the complex including the apartment belonging to Robert’s mom, Melissa Jenkins.

It's now been a week since 8-year-old Robert has gone missing. On Friday, authorities and more than 1,600 volunteers have been searching for the missing boy.

Police would not say what they were searching for, what they removed, or why the search is happening now. However, it has been confirmed that K9 units were brought in to help with the investigation.
"(The community) response to find the missing little boy has been incredible," Kerns said.

Manwill went missing from the Oak Park Village apartment complex in Boise last Friday at about 10 p.m.

Police had initially believed the boy may have gone to an unknown friend's house for a party, but that was ruled out as a possibility.

This week, Jim Kerns, Boise Police deputy police chief, said they were following hundreds of leads including interviewing registered sex offenders in Boise.

And on late Thursday, authorities did an extensive search into the apartment complex where Robert was last seen. That search included seizing items from Robert's mother's apartment. They also towed her red SUV. Police did not elaborate why they searched her apartment.

"This is the most important investigation we've had in a long time," said Michael Masterson, Boise Police chief.

6:38 p.m.

More than 2,300 volunteers turned out to search today.

"The search was extremely helpful," she said. Specific areas of interest now have to be searched by trained investigators.

"Developing leads" led police to the house on Southdale where investigators have converged Friday evening.

That is why it caught my attention that he kept saying carS.

A post from freerepublic.com

To: Domandred
I have a daughter who has baby sat this child. Several years ago.
A really sad and tragic family circumstance.

I have always wondered how a woman could wilfully crack the skull of her own young child, and then get 29 days of work release, fined $75.50 and put on probation for two years. That's the mother of this child and that's what she did to one of her other children

She could not have full custody and only had visitation rights. The husband, who is a veteran and by all accounts a decent person, has full custody of this boy. This occurred when the child was supposed to be with the mother...but my understanding is that she had gone somewhere and left him with the "boyfriend".

The boyfriend himself has multiple entries on his record, including burglary, battery and possession of drug paraphernalia, and he legally cannot be near the woman's other daughter...but the record on that case is sealed.

He is the one who said that the little boy wanted to go to a friends to some kind of party, but he wouldn't let him go, but did let him play alone outside and then later noticed he was gone. This was last week and the child has just dissappeared.

My guess, is his story is under minute scrutiny as to when someone other than him actually last saw the boy...and exactly where the mother was the entire time.

Very tragic envent here in the Boise area. Big search went on today all over the area where he went missing. Over 1,000 searching.

The CPS here is all about keeping the family together. No matter if dad is in jail and mom is laid up in the bed zonked out from who knows what kind of drugs.

I'm glad you are keeping your nephew's best interest at heart. I will say a prayer for y'all Leroy. JSM
