What I do not understand and never have, if there are 2,300 people in Boise, Id that are willing to come out and look for this child, that means there are a lot of good people in this area. It is like this all over the country. There are a lot more good people that want to do the right thing than there are bad. So how is it, that all this stuff can happen to kids all over the country??
How is it that the bad and evil, out weighs the good and decent? It is a conundrum that I have never been able to figure out.

I hear ya Fanny...makes no sense.  However, one bad seed doesn't make the whole bunch rotten as Boise has certainly proven.

A post from freerepublic.com

To: Domandred
I have a daughter who has baby sat this child. Several years ago.
A really sad and tragic family circumstance.

I have always wondered how a woman could wilfully crack the skull of her own young child, and then get 29 days of work release, fined $75.50 and put on probation for two years. That's the mother of this child and that's what she did to one of her other children

She could not have full custody and only had visitation rights. The husband, who is a veteran and by all accounts a decent person, has full custody of this boy. This occurred when the child was supposed to be with the mother...but my understanding is that she had gone somewhere and left him with the "boyfriend".

The boyfriend himself has multiple entries on his record, including burglary, battery and possession of drug paraphernalia, and he legally cannot be near the woman's other daughter...but the record on that case is sealed.

He is the one who said that the little boy wanted to go to a friends to some kind of party, but he wouldn't let him go, but did let him play alone outside and then later noticed he was gone. This was last week and the child has just dissappeared.

My guess, is his story is under minute scrutiny as to when someone other than him actually last saw the boy...and exactly where the mother was the entire time.

Very tragic envent here in the Boise area. Big search went on today all over the area where he went missing. Over 1,000 searching.

Mom was/is attracted to a badboy ??? He may not like the real father ?
Anyways it is speculation..

I agree Edward...the mom's history of abusing children makes me think she has something to do with it too.

the last case i had before i left my previous job in CPS was the case of a child that was killed at the hands of the mothers boyfriend.  the mother was at work and the boyfriend broke the child's neck and then threw him down the stairs to make it look like an accident.  the reason cps was involved was b/c there was an infant in the home at the time and the agency needed to insure the safety of that child...

let me just say, that at the hospital, the boyfriend/killer/monster..was vomiting perfusely and tried to say that it was an accident...the mother continues to defend this boyfriend till this day. it's SICKENING.

i wish i could say we are searching for an alive child in this case but i think it's pretty clear the police are looking for this little angel's body. going on that assumption i would say that i doubt this child's murder would be planned, but i do think the mother and boyfriend conspired afterwards to point the finger elsewhere and make it look like an abduction... i am sick to my stomach.

Yep, i think they are trying to make it look like an abduction...and so much of me wishes it really was....then there is hope that this little guy is still alive.

I was a LE dispatcher at one point in my life married to a LE. I was there 10+yrs and I left after seeing things, and hearing stories just like you are talking about. It wears you down, frustrates you, and the judicial system just doesn't seem to help.

I am sorry to say that from all indications, this is not going to have a happy ending. I am sick myself.

8:44 p.m.

Crime scene investigators have brought buckets and shovels into the backyard of the home at the 6600 block of Southdale Drive.

Also, they have set up a canopy with walls in the yard.

<snipped>

Court records show a history of family tragedies involving young children.

Jenkins pleaded guilty in March to a misdemeanor charge of injury to a child following an October 2008 incident that fractured her infant son's skull.

Jenkins "did willfully inflict" the injury to her other son "by striking the child's head on a surface, causing a fracture to the child's skull," on Oct. 19, 2008. She was sentenced to 29 days of work release, fined $75.50 and put on probation for two years, according to court documents.

That child is the son of Jenkins' boyfriend, Daniel Edward Ehrlick. The boy was in the care of the state Department of Health and Welfare through at least February, according to court documents. The agency will not release his whereabouts, citing policy.

Jenkins has a third child, a 2-year-old daughter fathered by a third man, who has custody of her. Jenkins has visitation rights. Ehrlick, who has been convicted of burglary, battery and possession of drug paraphernalia, is banned from being alone with the girl, but court documents don't say why.

I do not understand with the violence against children that either can be near a child

RUMOR ALERT -- a poster at the Idahostateman said the mom's boyfriend was in the hosptial for a drug overdose.

I'm not sure I believe that because wouldnt that be considered a suicide attempt and then they would have not released him so soon?  Who knows I guess

I meant to add that it would make a lot of sense though.....and if he had any part in harming this poor little guy, I certainly hope he doesnt *get off* that easy!
