Robert Manwill 8, missing 7/24/09 Boise, Idaho (BODY FOUND)

can some monkey help me with this...i really haven't been watching my cnn or hln 'cause mj hijacked them but can some one tell me...how
was reported missing, by who, and what the situation was (like was outside playing and just vanished?) tia

Manwill's mother was not at the briefing as she was during the early part of the week. Police said they do know where the woman, Melissa Lee Jenkins and her boyfriend Daniel Ehrlick are, but could not elaborate. No arrests have been made in the case.   (What an odd thing to say, I'm sure they know where they are, and they are watching them closely, you almost wonder if they are in jail for other offences?)

This is beginning to seem so familiar, much like Nevaeh's disappearance. I am praying that the outcome is not the same. And still no one is charged.   

I am really wondering why the boyfriend was in the hospital the other day? I was reading somewhere, could have been comments on the local site, that there were several LE at the hospital with him. I was really thinking that perhaps someone was talking, but now I'm not sure.

CBS2 called the police yesterday after the rumor came out that they were both in custody and the police said they had no one in custody.

pink do you know the county and if they have a jail web-site??  does 'custody' mean being held or under arrest?  i don't know.

His case really breaks my heart. He should have never been allowed with that "mother"

Me too. He never should have been allowed unsupervised visitation with his mother. I don't know what the court was thinking.

I can't imagine the pain little guy's dad must be in. You can tell by the photos that Robert's family is in hurting so much and they know.

There is so much desolate open spaces on either side of Boise, and not a long drive to get away from town. To the north is mountainous, but to the west, east and south you can go many miles with nothing and nobody in sight. It is encouraging in one way for the LE to be saying their searches are focused and only LE are doing them. It is upsetting also, that they have evidence that Robert was hurt or worse.

I am praying for little man Robert and his family. I pray he is found safe. I always have hope.

I am praying for his dad and family. My friend is going to court to get custody on Monday of a nephew. Sad thing CPS is so wanting the "family" to have visitations. My friend is totally against unsupervised visitation and she told me she will fight the judge if he allows it. Sad thing is, if a family member gets custody, the state wants to give the kids back to the parents even if the parents are drug freaks.

Boise man's home searched in Manwill disappearance

BOISE - Friday evening and Saturday morning, authorities looking for 8-year-old Robert Manwill focused their efforts on Evan Wallis' Boise home and blue Suburban.

"I was devastated that my truck was being considered part of this case with Robert," Wallis said.

The Homeowner, Wallis, says he has three boys of his own and is an innocent bystander in the investigation.

Wallis says he welcomed authorities to his backyard to search for anything that may lead them to the little boy.

"I have complete cooperation with them because it is a little boy that needs to be found," he said.

Wallis says police searched his home after bloodhounds picked up a scent on his Suburban. He says his truck was stolen on July 22, just two days before Robert disappeared. Then it turned back up on Monday and Wallis notified the Ada County Sheriff's Office.

"And that's what lead them to come back here and get a warrant to come dig up our backyard," Wallis said. "I told them go ahead just as long as you just leave things the way they were when you're done."

At a news conference earlier this afternoon, Boise Deputy Chief Jim Kerns says he couldn't tell CBS 2 anything about the search on Wallis' property, and they're looking into more than 300 tips.

"At this point the investigation to find Robert is an hour by hour effort," Kerns said. "The lead detectives are constantly evaluating evidence and focusing resources."

Wallis says the only thing investigators were going to find in his home were freshly dug dirt from grass he was planting and a few tree stumps.

Although he says he knows the Ehrlick family very well, he wasn't very close to Melissa Jenkin's or her boyfriend Daniel Ehrlick.

Wallis says he hopes the investigation helps lead police to 8-year-old Robert Manwill and is glad he was able to help.

I remember that Pink. I know that when there were two girls killed here, they did the same thing looking for the dad. Then once they did the story on the girls, it was a total farce. I have not been a fan of AMW since.

Pink, I couldn't see a video either. I don't think it's your computer. Earlier today I heard that Wallis said that he knew Daniel's brother, I believe it was Mark, better than her knew Daniel and Melissa. IIRC
