Okay so I started to *bold* things in the above article but the whole thing is disturbing.

She was pregnant in January but had complications...is she still pregnant (hope not)?  Or did she lose that baby (hopefully)?

My final thought after reading that is poor poor Robert.   What a shame

Responding to my own post to clarify that I dont normally wish it upon anyone to lose a child....even miscarriages are heart breaking.

I do however wish that parents like Melissa would never be allowed or able to have children.

couple of other thoughts....

How can you be ordered to only have supervised visitation with only one of your children?  Just because she hurt the littlest one doesn't mean she couldn't/wouldn't hurt any of the other children.  Makes no sense.  If you proven to be an un-fit mother that should go across the board for all of your kids!

And then you have child living in a house with a guy that is banned by the courts to be alone with another child??!!  Again, this makes no sense and how can they *pick and choose* which children are possbily in danger of these freaks!!

There was bound to be a tragedy in this family and I think Robert may have been just that

You would be surprised by the number of cases in which a child being abused by a parent is not enough to remove the other children from the home.

The system that's designed to protect children is failing that job horribly.

I am all for preserving the family but when it comes to letting children be put back into a situation (or not removing them from a situation) where they may continue to be at risk...it's usually at the expense of the children.

Our children are not lab rats that should be used in "social experiments" to see what happens.

I hope to god, that Melissa isn't pregnant.

I wonder what the actual timeline is. I really wonder when is the last time Robert's dad talked to him on the phone? When is the last time anyone other than Melissa and the BF saw Robert?

Is it possible that he was hurt or worse before Friday when he was reported "missing"?

I gotta go to have lunch with the *parental unit* right now so i'll check again when I get back.

Daniel Ehrlick Sr., a former Marine who served in Vietnam, said he thought he saw Robert on the day he was reported missing when he stopped by Ehrlick Jr.'s apartment to drop off money to help pay bills.

"(Ehrlick Jr.) told me that Robert was down in the back. When I came to the door, I don't know if it was then that I spotted it, or I spotted it before, but I spotted another boy that looked just like Robert with a white T-shirt on" Ehrlick Sr. said.

I'm beginning to think that Robert went missing day/days before the call to LE.

We are both on the same page then.

This quote brings tears to my eyes, it sounds like Robert was doing so well living with his dad, being away from his mom.
Quote
Manwill is something of a success story at New Plymouth Elementary School, Aguas said.

“Everyone felt like he was making it. He is a little guy we worked to bring up his self-confidence. I felt that his time at school had been good. He is on his way to be a strong student,” Aguas said.

I am very upset with those statements from the school, poor little kid was really trying, and I don't even want to think about what all was going on before he moved in with his dad and started that new school.

I have heard this term used when someone can't get around because of a back issue.

Either the grandfather/father of Daniel saw Robert or he didn't. You don't forget in that short of time. Would he not have spoken to the boy if he were present? I am beginning to believe, like some of you, that Robert was gone before Friday night. When was Robert brought to Boise from Plymouth, and who brought him? Does anyone know?

I don't know when Robert was brought to Boise, I'm thinking the father of the boyfriend might have brought him, because he said he has in the past, but if he did this time I don't know. Also, was Robert spending the summer with his mom? I thought I read that.

OMG!! No telling what he has been going through for weeks, if he was there during the summer. Does anyone know when his father last spoke to him, or when anyone REALLY saw him last?

I don't know, but can you just imagine what else this child has been through living with this mom before dad got custody of him?

Her too, praying for a positive outcome.  I have nothing to add, was gone for a few days and come back to 20 pages to catch up on...I'm out of the loop but prayers are always good.    I am glad to see that Robert has had improvements since going to live with his dad and hope that is able to continue.  My son asks me all the time about why the kids in his class act out, don't turn in homework, etc.  I tell him that you never know what is going on at home...unfortunately not every child has a loving home life.

I was listening to KBOI and the reporter just attended the news briefing at noon. He said that there wasn't any new news really. The family stood, holding hands, some with tears in eyes at the briefing.

It should be online soon...the video.
