BOISE - A body has been pulled from an area canal.

Ada County Dispatchers tell Newschannel Seven, they received a report it's a male juvenile's body.

The body was pulled from a canal near Deer Flat and Cloverdale in the Kuna area.

A news conference is underway at Boise City Hall West.

KUNA - A body has been pulled from an area canal - and a briefing related to the disappearance of Robert Manwill has been cancelled.

Just after 1:30 p.m., police responded to the New York Canal in the area of Deer Flat and Stewart St. in the Kuna area.

The Ada County Coroner is on the scene, and police say the person is dead. The coroner has not confirmed the sex, age or identity of the body, though dispatchers did tell KTVB that initial reports say the body was that of a male juvenile. The coroner said just after 5 p.m. that his office has not yet made a positive identification on the body.

Dispatchers tell us no other children have been reported missing today.

A news conference is likely to be held tonight according to police, and 30-40 minutes notice will be given. Sign up for KTVB.COM Breaking News Alerts to be apprised of the time of the news conference.

thanx for such a warm welcome fanny! i am more of a lurker usually, but this one really bothers me. so many issues here ... i do believe that this is an epidemic...so many children just deleted i just dont understand. i am unable to have kids so i guess this kind of stuff really gets me ticked ! at what point did human life become disposable? i dont remember things being like this when i was growing up...it was not commonplace to just kill children like it is just no big deal...i worry where all of this is going ultimately, is there anything that can be done to stop this? i feel so helpless just sitting glued to my laptop watching this stuff just going nonstop...so many cases that one couldnt even begin to read them all...

There is clearly access for a truck or SUV.

The news conference will confirm it is Robert but I doubt we will see any arrests until a cause of death is confirmed.

Unless there is trauma to Robert that they would be able to tell right away, that he didn't just "drown".

Too many missing babies, too many murdered babies and too many teddy bear memorials, and too many tiny coffins.

Definitely channeling Jada Justice in the aspect of a family member who reported said child missing was actually responsible for said child's death.

A lot of these cases are similar because in the end the child was found dead, but I'm saying Sandra Cantu because they interviewed a man and dug up his backyard over the weekend because a bloodhound hit Robert's scent inside his SUV which was reported stolen 2 days before Robert's disappearance.
