Boy, was I a forum novice.  I read RWV, then came here to SM and registered.  Then registered & never posted at BFN, and occasionally read at RU.  That's why so many have all this background info.....What I do think I know can go in the penny jar.

Ya know if this had been my child and I knew that people I had trusted was actually involved in a cover-up or mis-information campaign I'd play their game.  Yes I would.  I would be vindictive enough that if it took me years I would play their game until I took them down.  And I would get them. Somehow.  Someway.  They would pay one way or another.  I give Dave a pass.

Hi Snoopy! I don't know the answers to Dave's behavior. I respect the opinions here, and the people who post here, but I'm with you. I can believe almost anything short of Dave knowingly selling out when it comes to Natalee.

Janet....I wonder why you do not address Dave Holloway directly instead of posting all of this on a public forum.  You have certainly called him a number of things that would never have been allowed
in the past.  If you have his email address - and I assume you do - it would be a kinder thing to sit down and write him.  Ask him the questions as it appears that no one on this forum has the answers you are seeking.  And, before I hit post, let me say that all of this is no one's business as far as I am concerned.  And this post is just my humble opinion and I do not have any links to justify it.

Please direct me to a post where I have disrespected Dave Holloway.  Speculating regarding what Dave and Robin Holloway motives are in regards to their long time relationship with the enemy is not disrespectful.  Anybody who has a connection to those with an Aruban agenda are singled out and questioned as to their motives on this forum.

Which brings us back full-circle and my original question to you this evening. If Dave (and Robin) KNOW the evil that is Mark Purcell et al  -- what explains their defending of him and his ilk to this day??????????????? Is Janet totally correct?? Has Dave sold out?? I'm trying to defend Dave here, but I must admit that Janet's (and your revelations ) are giving me pause.

I'll try my best to explain what I am aware of.

Mark Purcell showed up early on at the rjames site. He is part of the IFA. Paulus van der Sloot's statement even stated that his IFA FRIENDS helped him. Mark Purcell then began to bash Natalee and her family (have to check the dates, but it might have been when the boycott started).  He ended up at the BFN site and was PM'ing several women. I have a chat conversation with one of them, I also have the IPs and where/what he was doing at that time.  He played them. He made friends with them. He got them thinking he's just a nice guy and has a lot of wisdom. All the while he is bashing Beth and her daughter on other sites.
He also told the family he would check out things for them. Afterall, why shouldn't Dave and Robin trust another American might have been their thinking. Dave was the one trusting Dompig afterall, remember???

By the time, the Birmingham meeting was to take place a number of people had been shall I say informing themselves about some of these individuals who bashed the family and Natalee. They informed Robin Holloway and she flat out told one of them that I know of, that she did not believe it. They also called Beth and told her. Beth didn't know what to believe and thought the Robin on BFN must be a fake. Dave Holloway was contacted and he was informed. In fact, I know that Robin Holloway did not want Deetch to attend the meeting and was very adamant about defending Mark Purcell and Reality. Keep in mind, that they talked to her over the phone.

Mark Purcell was telling them that Natalee was still alive. That was also the lies if you recall that scubajap was posting - she ran off with the Blue-eyed Dutch boy, the fake letter mailed to Paulus van der Sloot from Natalee and some guy. Etc etc. That was the plan to make the parents think Natalee was sold and/or ran away and that it's not Aruba's fault. It's Natalee's.

If you wanted to believe that, you might trust the wrong people.

I would never presume to know what is in Dave's mind, but I would bet the farm that he would have done anything to get Natalee back.  We know that.  We know that.  Keep your friends close and your enemy's closer.  This ain't over.

I agree too! That is why I am asking the hard questions (as is Janet). I am TRYING to get both sides. I am TRYING to see Janet's point of view --though I still cannot fathom Dave's recent behavior. I think I have given ample reasons why I think Dave is where he is -- but I crave discussion. I so love nights like these where we run through several pages with honest discussion. I am thrilled that Robots is back. I am thrilled that kermit is here. Im thrilled that I am not getting in trouble for talking football with KTF and billb because it is slow!

Just got a "Thanks XXXX!" from Dave... looks like he truly appreciated all the info on the trouble makers.

I cant take the credit ... so I 'll pass it to you guys and gals...thank you everyone that worked to get that to Dave.

I wonder why Dave did not cut off the relationship with Mark Purcell at this point?

They tell him that Natalee is alive and taken off the island.
I just remember early on that he was the person they had to go check out Margarite Island because it was thought that she was taken there and we were told he said he could not find it.

Yes I have the photo they circulated saying it was Natalee in some sex slave thing on the island.
One of the family members asked me about it. I said I would prefer to not show them the photo since it was not Natalee and the girl was indecent in the photo.

There was a number of people saying that she was on Margureite Island. I checked into it, I found a number of young girls who did look very frightened in the photos I copied and saved. They are on that island for a purpose and the way I got into that site was through some whacky  advertisement for single couples to vacation or something if I recall. I got in, I copied some of it and it disappeared when I tried to go back. The faces of those young girls still haunt me. It is also a known terrorist place to vacation. But that is what was going on and Mark Purcell and scubajap were telling everyone that she was taken off the island and there was no proof she was buried on Aruba etc. etc. There is so much more but I'm tired and I'm going to take a break for now.

Remember when we could not fathom why in the world Dave was talking with Dompig and we all thought it was Beth and Dave playing good cop bad cop. Then Dompig sent that scathing email to Dave to stop emailing him!!!!!

Some of these people you have to outsmart, outplay.

Edward, I agree! I have defended him to the hilt these past couple of days. However, I do want questions answered. Dave was a Navy Seal? (I'm pretty sure I remember that to be true).
Dave was competely aware of the nasty posts of Mark Purcell et al? Dave was aware of some of Robin's posts to websites that were of questionable repute? Dave thinks Aruba is absolved from a boycott??? I just don't get it.

That said, in the last TV appearance by Dave, he looked so tired and so weary and said something about being afraid he would have a heart attack.  If I had two very young children, alive and needing thier father, and knew I had done all I could do to bring justice for the missing and presumed deceased other child, I guess I might go with whatever would make the chest pains go away in order to live to rear the remaining two?

That didn't come out right and doesn't even make sense but maybe you can tell sort of what I mean.

No, it makes more sense than any other discussion the last couple of days. I cannot fathom any other scenario other than him being pragmatic with the family he has left. VERY SAD.
