Sunny-N-Tx -- you paged? LOL  It took me forever to get in here.......

Anywhoooooo,  Crystol is stable.  She is eating small bites at a time - maybe she knows not to eat the bowl all at once (which is what she usually does).  But, as long as she is eating some, drinking and holding down all the meds - I am as happy as I can be.  She is not her playful self by a long shot - but moving in the right direction.  Day 2 med given this am - I get to take her back for re-evaluation to see if the med is working on Day 7.  It is proving to be a really long, long week........

BTW - I got a Fiber Plus when I saw your page.  I did have a small bowl of shredded wheat this am, but when baby doesn't eat - hard for mama to eat!  BTW - vet liked MUFFY's recipe and also said the broth if not too salty on her normal food was a good first step.

How is that new air conditioner?  Did you get the mess all cleaned up?

    Good news.

How do I raccoon-proof my home or yard?

Raccoon-proof your home. Cover up potential entrances, such as uncapped chimneys, loose shingles and openings in attics, roofs and eaves. If you're not sure where raccoons are getting in, sprinkle flour around potential entrances and check for footprints later. You can also stuff a rag or ball of paper in a suspect hole and check later to see if it has been removed. Make a raccoon den unlivable. Sprinkle naphtha flakes or predator urine around the area or hang ammonia-soaked cotton rags near the entrance and keep the area brightly lit. Raccoons dislike loud noises, bright lights and strong smells. Use the same methods in your garden or in the area where you keep your garbage or composter. Always cover composters and garbage cans. Use a bungee cord or a heavy weight to keep the lid in place. Make sure that all raccoons or other animals have left before sealing up holes in any part of a building. This is especially important during the season when there may be young (usually March through June, depending on the locale). Block the entrances to a raccoon den once you're sure all the animals have left. You can use sheet metal. Repair siding and holes in buildings, and use heavy rustproof screening to cover open air vents or chimneys. Trim all overhanging tree branches or any other structure that animals might use to get on to the roof of a residence or detached building.  Raccoons and armadillos may dig up grub infested lawns.  Have your lawn treated for insect infestation.

Hi, okay I guess just worn out, and I think you are too, from worrying about your sweet pup. I'm glad she is eating and taking her meds. Also glad about the broth, I think I'm going to try that on Zoe's food, low sodium if they have it at the store.

Son got some marked reduced sodium.  I am going to try health food store for sodium free when he comes back over on sunday!   He is a good kid, running for his puppy and mom!

I have been very busy lately and have only been able to read Caylee's thread and a little of this and that.

I was very upset with Caylee's thread today.  Seems that some of my beloved monkeys are upset with each other.  Please, please remember why we all found this special place.  My reason was for Caylee, others have been here longer and for different reasons.  I have rarely seen in my experience here, monkeys biting each other.  I know that we have wonderful mods here and they do the best they can.  We should do everything in our power to make their jobs easier.

This is my personal plea for all monkeys to agree to disagree and not bite each other.  We are supposed to be here for each other.  It breaks my heart to see this going on.  I love having this special place to come to, where everybody can question and speculate and be safe.  We need to keep our special threads, just that, special.  There is enough to be mad about in the Caylee thread without us hurting each other.

I am asking you from the bottom of my heart, to forgive and forget, to take apologies when offered.  It is very hard to see a poster's emotions when they write, we are at a disadvantage to see their expression and feelings.  If you feel the need to say sorry for something, please do and if you are asked to forgive and forget, what can it hurt?

I am putting this out here for all to see, I only email Klaas.  I just want you all to know how special you are to me.  Let's please be kind to each other.

Hugs, Magic

I am sending this to both musing and JSM'S thread.  I want to reach as many of my dear monkey friends as possible.
