Rifqa's parents whose reputation is questionable have filed a complaint against Rigfqa. The abusive father who used Rifqa's eye loss as a pretext to come into this country and then never did anything about it is filing a claim against Rifqa. The parents that forced her to lie about how she lost her eye. The father that terrorized and threatened to kill her, has filed a complaint against Rifqa.

Please read the whole story at the above link. Very well written piece.

The Rifqa Bary case has had my attention since it began. Rifqa Bary is a seventeen year-old Christian who converted from Islam. Her conversion was displeasing to her family and it became a possible life and death issue when radicals at her father's mosque, Noor Islamic Cultural Center, began to involve themselves.

In a scene worthy of the medieval times, members of the mosque said her father needed to "get her under control." This began the saga we are witnessing today. Rifqa fled to Florida because she feared for her life but her parents claim there was no issue at all. They claim she was brainwashed. I will leave the that for others to fight over. In my opinion, any man in 2009 who demands his wife be covered properly, is probably familiar with brainwashing. For you guys at home, try this on your wife next time you go out.

Terror front CAIR supervised police interview of Rifqa Bary's parents on abuse allegations
A report by the Florida Dept of Law Enforcement (FDLE) that has been sealed by the court investigating the Rifqa Bary abuse and honor killing allegations is set to be released today. While the report is still sealed, we can report based on law enforcement sources who have read the report that the FDLE interview of Rifqa's parents was supervised by Hamas front organization, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). According to my sources, this is what the report says:

FDLE: No Evidence Of Religious Runaway's Claims
Rifqa Bary Says Her Father Threatened To Kill Her

POSTED: 5:10 pm EDT September 14, 2009
UPDATED: 5:28 pm EDT September 14, 2009
A report from the Florida Department of Law does not support claims made by a teenage runaway that her Muslim father would kill her for converting to Christianity.

A Florida judge is deciding whether 17-year-old Fathima Bary, who is known as Rifqa, should be returned to Ohio. She is currently in foster care in Florida. The girl ran away from her parents' suburban Columbus home in July, saying she feared being killed for changing religions. She has said her father had threatened to kill her with a lap top and that Islamic law requires he kill her.

Gov. Charlie Crist asked the FDL to investigate that claim and the FDLE said it found no assault charges filed against Mohamed Bary and no derogatory information against him.

The Barys have repeatedly denied threatening their daughter, saying that they love her and want her to come home.

The girl ran away from her parents' suburban Columbus home in July, saying she feared being killed for changing religions. She has said her father -- Mohamed Bary -- had assaulted her and threatened to kill her and that Islamic law requires he kill her for converting to Christianity in an "honor killing." She also said she was a victim of long term abuse.
Gov. Charlie Crist asked the FDLE to investigate those claims. In a report, the FDLE said it found no evidence backing up any of them up. Specifically, the FDLE said no assault charges were ever filed against Bary, it found no evidence of any planned "honor killing" and that Rifqa's older brother said he never saw either of their parents physically abuse her.

The FDLE also found that Rifqa's bus ticket from Ohio to Orlando was bought in Orlando, but they did not say who bought that ticket.

The Barys have repeatedly denied threatening their daughter, saying that they love her and want her to come home.

Report Shows Teen Convert May Have Been Lured

Posted: 5:09 pm EDT September 14, 2009Updated: 5:38 pm EDT September 14, 2009
ORLANDO, Fla. -- A 17-year-old girl said she ran for her life from her own family after she converted from Islam to Christianity, but a new report released from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement suggests, Rifqa Bary may have been lured to Florida.

A judge had sealed the FDLE report on Rifqa Bary's case for 10 days.

Initially, Bary said she hitch-hiked to a Greyhound station from her home in Ohio and just "ended up" at an Orlando pastor's house.
Bary's parents have maintained all along their daughter was brainwashed and manipulated. But the new FDLE report shows someone in Orlando bought her the bus ticket.

A report released by FDLE says the Ohio teenager, who ran away to Florida, may have not been forthcoming with investigators. The report was unable to find any evidence to back up many of Rifqa Bary's claims, including allegations of abuse.

Bary told agents that a former teacher knew her life was in danger because she converted to Christianity so she offered her a place to stay.

But according to the FDLE report, the teacher had no idea about the threats. The teacher said she offered Bary a place to stay because Bary's brother was having parties with alcohol at the house while the parents were out of town.

FDLE also revealed someone with a fake name in Orlando purchased a bus ticket for Bary to get to Florida. Bary initially said she hitch-hiked and then got on the Greyhound bus. But investigators say a young pastor drove her to the bus station and then Orlando Pastor Blake Lorenz picked her up from the bus stop.

The report does not say Lorenz or the church the ministers were instrumental in getting the teen to Orlando.

One of the parents' attorney commented about the report during a September 3 hearing.

"We have a favorable report. There are indications there is no evidence of these allegations," an attorney stated.

The parents' attorneys have filed a motion to dismiss the case and hope to schedule the hearing next week.

Transcripts of Rifqa Bary's interview are sealed until next Tuesday.

WFTV.com will post the FDLE report as soon as it becomes available.

Sorry, I'm not buying anything that is reported anymore on this case. I believe that the media is afraid of CAIR in both Ohio and Florida.

It is okay to rag on Christians in the media, but they always take the side of Islam because that is the PC/liberal bias in the media.

I hope to God, something is done for this girl and she left in foster care until she is 18. Anyone know at what age in Florida a child can become an empancipated minor?

Another propaganda piece by the hijab-wearing Meredith Heagney in the Columbus Dispatch *sigh*.
She kicks off her Christian hit piece inside Pastor Blake Lorenz's church. It smacks of mockery and contempt for Christianity. Here is the opening paragraph:

Amid a holy war

The pastor lay facedown on the living room floor, placed his hands over his eyes and pleaded with God to help Fathima Rifqa Bary. About 20 people joined the Rev. Blake Lorenz in the Orlando, Fla., home. They prayed for Rifqa's peace of mind and safety.

Please read the link above. The MEDIA S*CKS in this case. JMO JSM

Fathima Rifqa Bary: No credible reports of threats toward Rifqa, FDLE says
In an investigative report unsealed today, FDLE did not discover any threats toward Rifqa Bary or her family in Ohio

With tears running down her cheeks, Fathima Rifqa Bary, 17, is comforted by DCF caseworker Maxine Kisimbi during a tense legal exchange at a hearing before Circuit Judge Daniel Dawson at the Thomas S. Kirk Juvenile Justice Center in Orlando. (RICARDO RAMIREZ BUXEDA, ORLANDO SENTINEL / September 3, 2009)

Amy L. Edwards Sentinel Staff Writer

6:19 p.m. EDT, September 14,2009
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement found there have been no credible reports of threats toward teenage runaway Fathima Rifqa Bary, according to an agency report released late this afternoon.

The much-anticipated FDLE report was released after an Orange County judge rescinded a previously-ordered seal on the document. It had been sealed for nearly two weeks.

Rifqa's case made international headlines after she ran away from her home near Columbus, Ohio, and sought shelter with an Orlando family.

Rifqa, 17, has said she ran away out of fear that she would be harmed or killed by her Muslim family because she converted to Christianity.

The seven-page investigative summary released today includes interviews with several people, including Rifqa's father, who has denied threatening his daughter.

". . . FDLE's inquiry to date has failed to reveal any evidence of a conspiracy to commit, solicitation to commit, attempt or other efforts to commit any such action or other violence against her," the report said.

FDLE agents interviewed Rifqa on Aug. 21. Rifqa said she would become the victim of an "honor killing" by her family or someone else because of her conversion.

Other than her father, Rifqa didn't identify any specific people who have verbally or physically threatened her with death, the report said.

Among the highlights in the report:
-- The Islamic community was not investigated. "An investigation into any person, religious or social organization without a specific identifiable criminal predicate is inappropriate," the report said.

Investigators checked with local, state and federal authorities in Columbus and Orlando and "have not been made aware of any identifiable threat."

-- Rifqa told investigators she had been abused by her father throughout her childhood, but her parents and older brother denied such allegations or using any harsh punishment.

A school official said the district had no records of alleged abuse either.

-- Rifqa told investigators a high school teacher had offered to house her in the event that she "needed to escape repercussions from her family due to her Christian religious beliefs.

Investigators questioned that teacher, who told them she wasn't aware of any danger toward Rifqa. The teacher said she made the offer to Rifqa because her brother was having parties at the house when the Barys were out of town and the teacher was concerned for Rifqa's safety in that environment.

-- Rifqa told investigators she hitchhiked from a neighbor's house to the Columbus Greyhound bus station July 20. She arranged for a ticket through Christian associates she met through Facebook.

But Brian Williams, who baptized Rifqa, told investigators he picked Rifqa up from a residence and drove her to the station. He said Rifqa has preplanned spots around the country -- including in Georgia -- where she could flee. "Mr. Williams referred to the preplanning locations as . . .'fire drills.'"

-- Rifqa's bus ticket was purchased in Orlando under a fictitious name. The report does not say who purchased it.

"FDLE's investigation has not developed any information which supports an allegation of criminal activity in the state of Florida," the report said. "Furthermore, our investigation has provided no clear evidence of criminal activity in other states which may be supportive of the above allegations."
Rifqa remains in state foster care in Florida.

Check back for updates.

Thanks Trimm for that last post. I am so sick of the press saying Evangelical's have turned this girl against her family.

I don't care if she became Hindu, Catholic, Evangelical, Athiest or decided to worship Satan.

She is in fear, she is an apostate and in Islam, the penalty for apostasy is DEATH. So no matter her choice of religion unless she returns to Islam. She has every reason to fear death. Either at the hands of her father, brother or even her mother.

Her parents are evidently very religious and I don't trust them with Rifqa's life. I don't trust the media, I don't trust LE, and I don't trust the people in charge of the investigation.

I just pray and hope that she is safe and kept from harm. I remember Sarah and Amina every day. I drive by every day the place their bodies were found and I DON'T won't that to happen to this little girl.

FDLE Report: Runaway Teen Lied To Investigators
Monday, September 14, 2009 10:20:59 PM
Reported By Adam Longo

ORLANDO -- The Ohio teen who ran away from her Muslim home after converting to Christianity apparently lied to state investigators.

However, one of the groups that has infused itself into her cause is accusing state agents of not thoroughly doing their jobs.

Tom Trento with the Florida Security Council calls a  seven page report of investigative findings from Florida Department of Law Enforcement "complete nonsense."

Even though, agents interviewed Rifqa Bary and then sought out to confirm or deny the allegations she made.

In the report, investigators discuss Rifqa's claims that she was assaulted by her father, threatened with death and was the victim of long-term child abuse.

Investigators found absolutely no credible reports of threats and no "derogatory" information based on the allegations after interviewing her siblings, people at her school and others involved in her life.

But those fighting for Rifqa to stay in Florida said the report is "incomplete,” deficient and they accuse FDLE agents of not grasping the seriousness of her situation.
“The investigators here are going to be very embarrassed when this comes to trial because expert witnesses will be brought in to completely overwhelm these investigators and their methods employed by these FDLE folks,” Trento said.

Rifqa was interviewed by investigators on Aug. 21. She told them she hitchhiked from a neighbor’s house to the Greyhound bus station in Columbus for her trip to Orlando.

It turns out a man who baptized her in Ohio is the one who drove her to the bus station.

Then, investigators learned her bus ticket was actually bought in Orlando under a fictitious name.

So what's next in this case?

Lawyers for Rifqa’s parents have filed a motion to dismiss the dependency hearing. It could be heard as early as next week.

If it’s dismissed, this could clear the way for Rifqa to return to Ohio with her family.
