Judge Strickland was a disappointment to me today. I understand he is trying to give the defense a certain leeway. However IMO he is carrying it too damn far!

I have to agree.  I know he's being reasonable, but I want a Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland, shouting, "Off with her Head!"  Maybe I'm being a tad too judgemental?

Saw that!!!!!!!!!!!!  Did you notice when georgie came off the stand he held his hands up and nodded them to her as if to say, I am praying for you.  She looked away and did not acknowledge him in anyway!!!!!  Guilt is only reason I can think of for not at least wanting to glace at them.  She didn't appear to me to be looking at georgie on the stand either.  It was a blank stare up.  A welling in her eye for herself, but that cleared once georgie was out of sight. 
And her face looks awful - but her body looks as big if not bigger to me.

She sure is.....my question is why the tears when Lyin Eyes George was on the stand - never a tear shed when she hears Caylee's name or any reference about her......She makes me sick to my stomach.   

You know, her contact with others is all about weaving something that could get her off. There's lots of theories, and lots of challenges as to how to throw anything against a wall that might stick. Face to Face with her parents pulls back the curtain too much on reality, and I think she knows that they know what she did.

AAHHHH!  I missed George on the stand.  Have to go back and read.  It looked to me that Andrea MADE her look at her mom!  I noticed she also put an end to Baez and Casey's hijinks!!

I had to leave to take the dog out, and I missed the judge's decision over the bounty hunters. Is he going to review, and come back with a decision?

Did anyone see an actual tear? And she conveniently had a tissue reading and waiting for the tears? Bull POOP! IMO that was staged.    She totally blew both parents off yet again, but particularly her mother!!

ORLANDO -- Casey Anthony's defense team asserted in court this morning there is evidence that shows their client did not kill her daughter and they want the bounty hunter that first posted her bail to stop talking -- both in court and in the media.

Jose Baez said that Casey was in jail at the time Caylee Anthony's remains were found in a wooded area, so she could not have been the one that dumped her body. 

Friday morning’s appearance marked Casey Anthony’s first apperance in court in several months.

Judge Stan Strickland granted the defense team's motion for Anthony's ex-boyfriend, Tony Lazarro's, phone records.  Lazarro's phone records between June 1, 2008 and Dec. 18, 2008 will have to be turned over to the defense team.

Right after the first ruling, Baez called George Anthony to the stand.

Another motion includes keeping bounty hunter Leonard Padilla quiet. The defense wants to stop the former bail
bondsman from being a witness with the state.

Padilla bonded Casey out of jail the first time she was released, but he later said Casey would not cooperate with him in his search for Caylee Anthony.

But on Friday, Baez argued Padilla was just a “flamboyant cowboy” who wanted to bail his client out of jail.  Baez said Padilla's statements should be inadmissible on the grounds that Padilla was acting as a counselor to the defense at the time so the conversations are privileged.

Prosecutors grilled George Anthony about his knowledge of the arrangement made with Padilla to bond his daughter out of jail and the security at his home.  Anthony blew a kiss to his daughter as he left the stand, at which point Casey was seen tearing up.

Prosecutors said Baez’s argument that he is “busy” is an excuse because attorney Andrea Lyon has not quit her day job as an instructor and Baez has gained more clients since the state announced it would seek the death penalty against Casey Anthony.  Prosecutors said Anthony’s defense team should be able to set aside one day for the check fraud trial.

This all comes after an interesting turn of events Thursday during a news conference.
The lawyer for Tim Miller of EquuSearch, Mark NeJame, was giving a news conference when George Anthony barged in uninvited.
   
Anthony and NeJame went off in private to take care of a misunderstanding.
   
The private conversation happened minutes after NeJame and Miller showed photographs of the scene taken on Nov. 7, 2008 where Caylee Anthony's remains were found more than a month later.
   
Miller says he and 32 of his volunteers could not search the exact spot where Caylee's remains were later found because there was standing water

Judge Stan didn't disappoint me today - except a tad when he backed off on issues he kinda acted like he had ruled on!  I hope the rulings reflect what he said in court today. NeJame will be shocked when he gets back from first day to find that was not a ruling, I bet.

I can be patient if it gets the fair trial and the just result.  I honestly saw more positive for State today than defense.  They are due under the law some of this discovery - but IMHO he stopped the fishing expedition.
