It is raining here right now - I just thought of you and your mention of your roses needing rain (not to mention the gorgeous photos of the roses in the pots, the gate and the bench).  Have you gotten any raindrops for those beautiful flowers??

was at a acquaintance house over the week-end.. His is an EMT... and had to show me his tomato plants

he had the durn things hooked up to IV BAGS type drips...
Wooden stake, old 1 gallon milk jug, cork stopper and the IV tubing and drip valve..

We lived behind an engineer for Boeing. He had something similar with
carrots in tubes. The tubes were three feet long. He was doing an experiment to see how big the carrots could grow. The water and fertilizer was being distributed to the carrots in the tube in measured doses. He was a nice " nut ". Other hobby of his was cars. He carved a car body using Boeing fiberglass technology. For excitement, he would take his cat for bicycle rides. The cat would sit on his shoulder and they would whizz around the block a few times.

It was about Deepak's cellphone being " out of minutes " and if a phone was " out of minutes " could it still receive calls ?
Deepak says that he didn't call J or S inside C & C's because he was out of minutes. Then, later, Joran called him.

Yes, that is part of it.  Wasn't there something about the cellphone transmitting a porn tape for 8.5 minutes too?

Metroguy - If Charlie Croes had the cell phone records scrubbed, would they exist still on a higher level?  Last night At Wood told us that Sander G claimed his cellphone was lost that same day 29/30th.  Is there anyway to get those records outside of Charlie C.  Would they be available on the records of the person receiving the call even if it went to answer mode.  I think that was the gist of the questions. TIA

Sunfreak2 - the only way Charles Croes could have any calling records scrubbed would be if he knew somebody at Digicel Aruba (they are the service provider) on a very personal level, since CC is a sales agent only meaning he is an independant businessman who is authrozed by Digicel Aruba to sell phones/service on the Digicel network. Basically he would not have access on his own to calling records independantly.

All of this with the cell phones.......wouldn't Beth's cell phone bill detail out the time and the origination number?  
My Verizon bill shows all that stuff, but maybe it just depends on the company.

Sounds like Art Wood has got the Gottenbos family under the microscope. I have been saying that Koen is one of the WEAK LINKS and that someone needs to lean on him- HARD. He knows something and has never said ANYTHING.

Addendum - there would be records at Digicel Aruba depending on how long they archive that information. Meaning - the call traffic is recorded in both directions cell to cell or cell to land. In the case of land to cell then the land service provider would have those records independant of the cell service provider.

I have Rogers and on the cell, every call is detailed. On the land, only out of area ie the extra charges are.
If the call came into Beth's land and went to a voice mail, I don't know if it would show if it was a direct dial.

We used to hook ourselves up to IV fluids with some multivitamins, anti-nausea meds & something like pepcid and give it to ourselves and colleagues after a night of partying.  Worked like a charm.  The body & brain dehydrates from the alcohol, which is what causes the hangover headache.

Not a silly question at all.  

Calls I have made from the US to Aruba have the date, time and indicate the call was placed to Aruba.

When I was last in Aruba I made and received a number of calls on my cell phone (my cell phone works as normal in Aruba- GSM).   A couple of months back I dug out my old phone bill for when I was there (had kept it for a tax-related reason) and all calls just had the same Aruba location, regardless if where in Aruba I made/received the call.  But it did have the time and origination number.

One thing though that has always troubled me about the cell phone calls...

Virtually any scenario we can think of has Natalee incapacitated and in exigent circumstances IN SOME WAY by the 3 AM point on the timeline. It is hard for me to imagine her, especially if she was drugged, being able to handle (both mentally AND emotionally) the challenge of dialing Beth's US number on an unfamiliar cellphone, especially if a country code, etc. was needed to place the call. I have had family members call from overseas to my land line before, and the call process, for them to my US number, was no easy matter. And they were sober and lucid. Granted, that was 8 or 9 years ago and the mechanism for such calls may be more refined now... but I still think it would have been a real leap in the dark for her to have successfully gotten through, especially doing it "under wraps" with the fear of being discovered in the act.

That's why AL Gunslinger's comments about the call stand out so much. He asserts that the call DID happen and I believe it. Therefore, I'm trying to figure out HOW Natalee could have done it.

It implies that they didn't get Natalee as "out of it" as we wish... if (when) they abused her, she probably had an idea what was happening and her last moments would have been absolutely terrifying.

Plus, if she could make a cell call, she probably could have kept from "falling" and "hitting her head". Hint, hint. No accident.
