I don't believe this got any coverage outside the local area and then usually a once a year mention.

No, your correct, very, very little. Christine was not a local, she was visiting friends of her boys dad, Levi Hall.

Now Leroy, you know I can't do that -

Wednesday August 12, 2009 the whole story will be on Blink On Crime.

http://www.blinkoncrime.com

But ask away, we will tell what we can.

It all began when a pretty mom with a tough past wanted to make a better life for her 3 kids, wanted a BIG change for their benefit...because she loves them.

I watched Blinks video on blinkoncrime.com....this website is the only one I seem to find much on about this case.  I think its great that they posted Blink's video here!!  The posters at this site seem extremely dedicated to solving this case.

I just cant get believe the lack of national attention this case got

Lol, I promise Leroy, the meat will be in the stew Smile And your right, the team and I: Lucas, Candice, Bobby, Kate, Klaasend and Red have spent hours and hours in data mining, research and interviews. When Lynn, Christine's Mom came to me, after a family friend initially, I only found enough to know Christine needed a chance to be found. Without her Mom and friends tenacity, there would be nothing out there still.

I have come to realize that unless someone's past is pristine (and who's is?) people can get written off fairly quickly.  It's interesting, yet unfortunate, that there are several unsolved disappearances in this three county area.

It looks like a lot of outlets do not archive their articles & it is hard to find anything.

This is one from November 2008

Year Has Passed Since Woman Vanished In Pocomoke

It's been a year since a Delaware woman vanished from Pocomoke City, and investigators say the trail has gone cold.

Christine Sheddy, 27, was last seen Nov. 13, 2007, at a friend's home on Byrd Road, where she had been staying with her two young sons. Her boyfriend was scheduled that day to give Sheddy and her children a lift to her mother's home in Delaware, but she was gone when he arrived at the house.

Sgt. Michael McDermott of the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation says police are doing everything they can to find Sheddy. However, her mother, Lynn Dodenhoff, believes the investigation into the disappearance was mismanaged.

McDermott says investigators continue to investigate alleged sightings and other tips they receive.

Search Continues For Woman Last Seen In Pocomoke

By Shawn J. Soper, News Editor
Originally published November 30, 2007

BERLIN – Worcester County law enforcement agencies this week have expanded their search for a Delaware woman and mother of two who went missing in the Pocomoke area over two weeks ago.

Christine Marie Sheddy, 26, of Bowers Beach, Del., was last seen on Nov. 13 in the Byrd Street area of Pocomoke. She has been missing now for over two weeks, touching off a search effort across Worcester County that has now been expanded to include neighboring Delaware and Virginia.

“We don’t have any more information on the missing woman,” said Worcester County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Ed Schreier this week. “We have conducted searches in the area and have not been able to locate her yet,”

Sheddy left her Bowers Beach, Del. home on Nov. 13 with her two sons, ages two and four, in tow to visit a couple in Pocomoke she had met earlier through her boyfriend. Sheddy remained behind with her two sons at the Pocomoke residence while the couple went to pick up their own children at school.

When the couple returned, Sheddy was gone and her two boys were left home alone. Sheddy was supposed to have returned to her Bowers Beach residence on Nov. 17. She was reported missing, touching off a search throughout the county and beyond. According to reports, Sheddy’s two sons are now staying with their father.

The Worcester County Bureau of Investigation (WCBI) has taken the lead on the case with the cooperation of allied law enforcement agencies although WCBI detectives do not suspect foul play at this time.

Sheddy’s information has been submitted to other law enforcement agencies in the county including Ocean City. Her picture and description has been circulated to the allied agencies.

“We have her information in our data base and her picture and description has become part of our routine roll call each day,” said Ocean City Police Department’s Barry Neeb. “We haven’t been given any indication she might be in Ocean City, but we remain on the lookout for her.”

Sheddy is 5-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs around 100 pounds. Anyone with information is urged to call WCBI Detective Robert Trautman at 1-800-811-8396.

Here is the link to a blog site that has many comments.  Since I have no prior knowledge of this case, I have no idea if any of these comments are rumor or not.  I guess if there was so little coverage or investigation at the time she went missing a lot of rumors will run rampant.  (Reminds me of Haleigh).

Blink or Klaas, if this link is inappropriate, please remove.
