Here is the report I had in my file re: recent remains in Dover

Delaware crime: Woman's body found near Port Mahon
By TERRI SANGINITI • The News Journal • January 23, 2010

The body of a woman was found Thursday in a marsh near the Port Mahon boat ramp east of Little Creek, state police said Friday.

The remains were recovered about 11:45 a.m. The ramp is at the end of Port Mahon Road, where the Mahon River empties into Delaware Bay.

Police do not know how long the body was there.

It was turned over to the state Medical Examiner's Office to determine identity and cause of death, said state police Master Sgt. Bruce Harris.

It is not known if the death was due to foul play. Police would not say how the body was found or by whom.

DNA evidence also has been sent away for testing.

Harris said he does not know how long it will take before the victim is identified.

I wouldn't copy this article for nothing -- I would paste it on someone's a$$
Like so many people who think they know it all when in fact that don't know jack, if he wants to wonder what's going on, I suggest he ask his good buddies at the LE -- maybe they can give him some "hope."
This is a piece of crap article that does nothing to bring Christine home.

Hi Monkeys,
Thought I would stop in to say hello.  Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers.  I am optomistic for this coming year.  We will never give up on my Christine.  Thanks for standing beside me.  I love you all.

SNOW HILL: Human remains found in parking lot
Staff Report • February 19, 2010

SNOW HILL – Local law enforcement agencies are investigating human remains that were discovered buried in a parcel of land near the Snow Hill municipal parking lot.

Worcester County State’s Attorney Joel Todd said “it would be inappropriate to comment” on whether the body was that of missing woman Christine Sheddy. Sheddy disappeared from a Pocomoke-area farm house in November 2007.

Officials from the Maryland State Police, Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, Worcester County Bureau of investigation and Worcester County State’s Attorney’s Office were led to the site as part of a larger investigation, Todd said.

The remains, which were found with a pair of shoes and some jeans, will be sent to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore.

Todd said he did not know how long the body had been there, and declined to comment any further for the sake of the investigation.

If you look at the comments section -- the author of the comment, Billy Burke, says..."It’s my understanding that finding Christine happened AFTER the County Sheriff’s were forcibly removed from the case and it was handed over to the State police."  I do hope this is Christine as this statement implies.  This has to be so hard for the family but I pray there is some closure for them.  May God give them peace and comfort.

SNOW HILL, Md. - The Worcester County State's Attorney, Joel Todd, tells WMDT he along with the Worcester County Sheriff's Department, WBI, and other law enforcement officials have been on the scene of a site where human remains have been found.
Todd says the remains were found near the municipal parking lot, behind the Snow Hill post office Friday.
The remains have been sent to the Medical Examiner's office for a positive identification.
There is no word on why police searched this site, but the remains were found buried somewhere between the parking lot and the river's edge.
We will bring you the latest as it becomes available.

Update: Remains Found - Latest News
by - Katherine Amenta

SNOW HILL, Md. - A tiny bed and breakfast in Snow Hill could very well be a crime scene tonight.  Human remains were found buried in the backyard this weekend.  So, could it be a break in the Christine Sheddy case? Investigators said it is too soon to tell.

"It's a shock, because Snow Hill is a very quiet town," said Snow Hill resident Jim Adcock.  But, that quiet was broken on Thursday.

"We did receive information that there were remains at a location in Snow Hill," said Worcester County Deputy State's Attorney Mike Farlow.
The tip led the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation to the "River House Inn" Bed and Breakfast on East Market Street.  "The owners of the property were informed Friday morning that there was potential evidence on their property," said Farlow.
Human skeletal remains were found in "River House's" backyard.  By Saturday morning, the dirt was back in place and detectives were leaving the scene. The State's Attorney's office said based on clothing, they do consider the body a female.  But, they won't speculate on whether or not this could be the body of missing Pocomoke woman, 26 year old Christine Sheddy. Sheddy was last seen November 13, 2007 in Pocomoke City.

We spoke with Christine's mother when Christine was first reported missing; "It's been over a month now and still no Christine," Lynn Dodenhoff said in 2007. "If anyone can help us find her, one way or another, we just need to bring her home."

It is still unclear how long the remains were buried. The State's Attorney's office said after all the recent snow, it is difficult to know what kind of condition the grass was in.  There was no answer at the property when we knocked.

The State's Attorney's office said a positive identification on the remains could come by the end of next week.

Pooky Bear, Mr. Burke has assuredly been an advocate of Christine's, however, he does on occasion jump the proverbial gun.  He had reported Sarah Foxwell was deceased and recovered before it was true/confirmed.  His heart is in the right place, but sometimes his leads aren't quite as solid as his heart (and he has a very wonderful wife and they do work very hard for victims).

Blink is reporting on Dana Pretzer that her inside sources are telling her that the remains are that of Christine Sheddy.
