Hey Lucinda -- I am glad to see you.  CFS sounds like it really is agreeing with you.  I am so glad this is working out and you are doing so well.  I have missed you.

Thanks pooks, that means a lot to me, good mates we are, you saw me at my worst, and you still want to be my friend.  I am OK now, just everything hit me at once, and the doctor told me to up my valium dose when Josh died.  Im valium free now.  Have been for a while, but went on a big venture to renovate.
Only my son's room, who wont be coming back home to live, he spent his 21st in the Australian desert. I always dreamed of his 21st.  Its hard to let your children go, but my son is doing so well.  He is now up the top end of Australia (those who dont know, he is travelling around Australia)  by Christmas, he will be home, plus a lovely girlfriend he met, and she is travelling with him.  My son is a fully qualified chef, and at this time, he is a head chef at a resort in Broome, Western Australia.  His girlfriend is a jillaroo, but she got a job as a house keeper at the resort where my son is.  If you dont know what a jillaroo is, google, my son even got work as a jackaroo, Im like OM Goodness, but the girl he met seems to be his soul mate, Im so proud of him, miss him heaps, but happy he is living life.  They will both come here for Christmas, then they are going to UK, and then USA.

back on topic, yes pooks, its the best decision I made.
I dont know USA protocol, but by the end of this year, I am aiming for my fire fighter 1 certificate, and if we go back to USA, hoping I can get work in that field, whilst studying arson forensics, i just dont know where this will lead me really, but i am giving it my best go, and at least I am useful for something, and learning a trade that I could save lives.

I dunno if I said this here, but the captain is joshies dad, and he is not doing so well.  Josh was the equipment manager, so its all really sad at our CFS, Joshie featured in the CFS mag  in obititories.  I dunno if you can see it online, but volume 121 July 2009  Print post approved-535347/00018  Not sure if you can grab it up, but can scan it for anyone interested, its a sad time, cos not only was Joshie my best friends son, he was also my sons best friend, and, my son had almost had him to move to West Aussie, lined up a job, but Josh just didnt want to commit, it was like he knew, he planned his death, and thats really sad, but his mother, who is my best mate, said to me today "we never coulda known or stopped him, we got him help too late"  Cos he had a breakdown a week or so before he done it, it was all cos of his brother's murder.
I am at the analyzing stage now, I prolly wont ever let this injustice go, and I wont.  I go to hospital at end of this month (August, dont even know the day, hubby does, he has the letter, thinks im gonna run off, I wont tho)  He just does not understand, that I wont run off, i just dont want to be a month in hospital with infections and the swine flue there, im safer at home.  I will go there after they find the vaccine for the swine flue.  How fair is that?  Not going near my heart or kidneys when swine flue is in the hospital, stuff that for a joke.  But, bet ya last dollar, I will be there, and please all pray i dont get swine flue.

well, i will run off
I refuse to go there, and, yes I have a swine flue phobia, Im one of the immune deficiant ones, who we got 6 deaths  from our lil state, that Dr phil didnt come too, texas wank anyway
Nah, when they control the swine flue, I will go in.  I will go see my specialist, but not go in hospital.  I even caught a infection when I was in ICU 7 years ago, airborne they say, pigs arse I said, germs the nurses carry with them, dont wash or sanatize their hands.

My husband went last week but I was sick, hubby said they done map reading.  I said like what did you all do, did anyone ask about me LOL, they did, I was J/K.  He said map reading is they put you in the truck with a driver, and over the radio, they say the destination, and also map points.  I asked hubby, was there a special code, and he LOL , no, its normal map reading.  Im gonna be doing this on next Monday, but thats OK, cos we are back to knot tying skills, and tested, its the course, and until I am in the 6 week trainee, Im nothing.  But,
least Im giving it all I have.

Hello, sorry for the absence.  I missed about three cfs training nights, due to being sick.  The last one was an obstacle course.  It was taunting for me, as the members in our local group make it like a big competition, and they keep scores for years.  LOL, so, I was thrown in the deep end, and had no idea what i was doing
They did the "old pick a team member" thing like you did at school, and yes, i was like the fat kid, picked last
We got paired up, and we had a runway, with two cones at the end.  the idea was, we both line up at the end of the "runway", then at GO, we race to the other end, where we glove up, and while my partner got the fire hose (thats rolled up) i run back to the other end, and he rolls it out, getting in the cones, i have to jump the rolling hose, then run again flatout to the other end, while he runs to my end where the hose ended unrolled.  i then pull the hose straight then run again to the other end, and we both roll the hose.  He rolled, I pulled the flat part, and you run backwards, guiding it.  My first time, and my partner and I came second, I was slow at running, but very good at the guiding of the hose.  We had a big barbecue the other night, where volunteers recognised their bosses for allowing them time off work for emergency situations.
Rumour has it, the six week course for me is coming in October, and  Im hoping that, cos if I pass the course, i can go to incidents, love lucinda  an angelic monkey

Last week, I did not feel well, but still went to CFS, we did a really boring task, but to me, a god send.  We had to name every piece of equipment, on the new truck, and the old one.  All what was in the lockers, and I even found the binoculars, they were hidden on the new truck, under passenger seat, in a black bag.  I felt under the seat, and pulled it out.  Love Lucinda
