White House Reviews Names of Recipients of Unsolicited E-Mail on Health Care
After a testy exchange between FOX News and White House spokesman Robert Gibbs over an e-mail list, the White House says it will review names of recipients who received unsolicited information to determine how they ended up on a distribution list sent out by the East Wing.

FOXNews.com

Friday, August 14, 2009
The White House on Friday was looking over a list of names submitted by FOX News of people who say they received unsolicited e-mails on health care from the White House, Barack Obama's presidential campaign or his political organization, Organizing for America.
<snipped>

I didn't get any email from the White House.
Me either, maybe your computer put it in the spam box.
start with the nanner throwing...i singed up for e-mail from the white house....i'll tell the truth, the e-mails are not very exciting.

Health Care Stirs Up Whole Foods CEO John Mackey, Customers Boycott Organic Grocery Store   Monkey Devil! Sorry had to laugh, the liberals are pizzed at Whole Foods.

http://abcnews.go.com/Business/story?id=8322658&page=1

I went in one of those once, all the uppity people in their shopping who thought they were cool buying this overpriced food. Give me my crap processed food anyday.
I went into one looking for lunch to take to my Grandmother at the CHF clinic, I forget what I was looking for, like maybe a diet drink for her, and they looked at me like I was the stupidest person on earth. I didn't know it was all organic until the crappy service girl yelled at me they don't use artificial "whatever it was".  Two weeks later my Grandmother passed on so I guess that is why I remember it vividly and why I have never been into another Whole Foods since.

Anyways, give me preservitives, beer and pizza and I will be just fine.
That's awful, yes they are rude, I'll bet there is something artificial in some of the food they serve and sell.
They are rude, smarmy and very Anti Israel. So they can kiss JSM's backside!

My husband going to check at Pet Smart about a bath for the cat, WTH I never said that the cat was coming here, and one guess who will be cleaning and taking care of the cat. Unless his Lazyboy recliner gets some wheels on it, I will
Cat + Bath = nightmare.  This may be your big chance to get rid of hubby Monkey Devil!
Yes. Now he and my younger daughter that lives with us are going out to dinner. She is in a mood right now, she has been having trouble with her skin breaking out and she is getting very upset, and some lady at her work said to her, what's wrong with your face, you are not a teenager you shouldn't have pimples.    I really wish some people would shut up. I told her it is looking better which it is. I worry about her, because she can be self destructive when she gets upset. She is on medication which sure seems to be helping, but I worry. I hate to say this, but I will, she use to be a cutter, it was awful. She hasn't done that for about a year, but I worry about a relapse.
Hugs No Rose,  an angelic monkey I think people should keep their yaps shut. Tell your daughter that the person that said such a thing is just jealous that she isn't as pretty as your daughter.

Also, I feel your pain about her and the cutting. I have a close family member that was one, I never knew anything about it until she went into the hospital. Took awhile for her medication and therapy, but I think she is doing fine now. I will say a prayer for your daughter. JSM
I'm sorry, but I'm glad she is doing fine now. I will pray for her as well. Sometimes it does take awhile for medications to work, and to get the right medications.

Let him give the cat a bath. I guarantee you the cat won't be there for very long.
He grew up in a house full of them  The first time I went to his mother's house there were animals jumping everywhere, by the time we left, I couldn't breath from all that. I got up from his mother's couch, and one of her poodles bit me in the leg and tore my pants, and she just sat there

i was hanging out at roberts thread for a min
you tell your daughter to tell that b!t@h to stfu ...nasty mean lady...i'm 31 and growing a big one on my chin right now...after babycrazy my skin went crazy as well...i'll deal and use massive amounts of make-up if need be but it hasn't gotten that bad yet.  no need for her to cut herself and (hears my redeneck coming out) maybe that 'lady' is the one who should be cut....not that your daughter should do it...hire the chick to bathe the cat!
She would be a good one to bathe the cat  Monkey Devil!  I can't figure out why some people say the things they do, it obviously is going to hurt the person. Yeah after having a baby and while you are pregnant everything seems to go nuts  Some women loose hair while they are pregnant.
funny thing about the hair...i now grow 2 black 'wiskers' on the bottom of my chin...i can feel them coming in and always have the tweasers ready...i just hope i don't grow a full beard....hello hot wax!

i hope you mean they will bathe the cat there.
when you say cat bath i think of a baby bath (those plastic thingies thay try to make you feel like you have to buy for a baby).  i don't know if its a good idea to try to bathe a cat at home.....(sharp claws and all)
No way, no how would I bathe the cat, not only the claws, but all the fur flying, allergies would be something else.

How do you bathe a cat?I bet Sassy could tell us a good way.My granddaughter bathes her cat.I swear she has mystical powers with all animals. She can do stuff with my Taco that he bites me for.    she just talks to them and poof they do whatever.
That's great, I would be afraid to bathe a cat, but maybe some cats like to be washed. She maybe has a tone to her voice that is comforting and animals like, that is a good quality to have.

She gets it from her dad.He was the same way.

What about all the people in the country that don't have the internet, kind of out of the loop since this president seems to like the internet so much. Radical Science

President Obama's "science czar," John Holdren, floated a number of lethal policies -- including compulsory abortions and other Draconian measures -- to shrink the human population in science textbooks he published in the 1970s.
John Holdren, Science Czar

John Holdren is the director of the White House's Office of Science and Technology Policy, focusing on energy independence and global warming. Holdren has degrees from MIT and Stanford and won the unanimous approval in the Senate to be the president's chief science adviser, but some of his controversial early writings may have escaped the senators' notice.

This guy disturbs me.

It took quite a while, but she had more issues than the cutting we didn't know about. She is doing well I am happy to say. I think you daughter will be fine. Really it could be a hormonal problem with the acne or her medication she is taking may be a reason for it. I just know she is lucky to have you as a mom to look after her.  an angelic monkey

Quote
   Dear Friend,

This is probably one of the longest emails I’ve ever sent, but it could be the most important.

Across the country we are seeing vigorous debate about health insurance reform. Unfortunately, some of the old tactics we know so well are back — even the viral emails that fly unchecked and under the radar, spreading all sorts of lies and distortions.

As President Obama said at the town hall in New Hampshire, “where we do disagree, let's disagree over things that are real, not these wild misrepresentations that bear no resemblance to anything that's actually been proposed.”

So let’s start a chain email of our own. At the end of my email, you’ll find a lot of information about health insurance reform, distilled into 8 ways reform provides security and stability to those with or without coverage, 8 common myths about reform and 8 reasons we need health insurance reform now.

Right now, someone you know probably has a question about reform that could be answered by what’s below. So what are you waiting for? Forward this email.

Thanks,
David

David Axelrod
Senior Adviser to the President

P.S. We launched www.WhiteHouse.gov/realitycheck this week to knock down the rumors and lies that are floating around the internet. You can find the information below, and much more, there. For example, we've just added a video of Nancy-Ann DeParle from our Health Reform Office tackling a viral email head on. Check it out:

Health Insurance Reform Reality Check

8 ways reform provides security and stability to those with or without coverage

   1. Ends Discrimination for Pre-Existing Conditions: Insurance companies will be prohibited from refusing you coverage because of your medical history.
   2. Ends Exorbitant Out-of-Pocket Expenses, Deductibles or Co-Pays: Insurance companies will have to abide by yearly caps on how much they can charge for out-of-pocket expenses.
   3. Ends Cost-Sharing for Preventive Care: Insurance companies must fully cover, without charge, regular checkups and tests that help you prevent illness, such as mammograms or eye and foot exams for diabetics.
   4. Ends Dropping of Coverage for Seriously Ill: Insurance companies will be prohibited from dropping or watering down insurance coverage for those who become seriously ill.
   5. Ends Gender Discrimination: Insurance companies will be prohibited from charging you more because of your gender.
   6. Ends Annual or Lifetime Caps on Coverage: Insurance companies will be prevented from placing annual or lifetime caps on the coverage you receive.
   7. Extends Coverage for Young Adults: Children would continue to be eligible for family coverage through the age of 26.
   8. Guarantees Insurance Renewal: Insurance companies will be required to renew any policy as long as the policyholder pays their premium in full. Insurance companies won't be allowed to refuse renewal because someone became sick.

8 common myths about health insurance reform

   1. Reform will stop "rationing" - not increase it: It’s a myth that reform will mean a "government takeover" of health care or lead to "rationing." To the contrary, reform will forbid many forms of rationing that are currently being used by insurance companies.
   2. We can’t afford reform: It's the status quo we can't afford. It’s a myth that reform will bust the budget. To the contrary, the President has identified ways to pay for the vast majority of the up-front costs by cutting waste, fraud, and abuse within existing government health programs; ending big subsidies to insurance companies; and increasing efficiency with such steps as coordinating care and streamlining paperwork. In the long term, reform can help bring down costs that will otherwise lead to a fiscal crisis.
   3. Reform would encourage "euthanasia": It does not. It’s a malicious myth that reform would encourage or even require euthanasia for seniors. For seniors who want to consult with their family and physicians about end-of life decisions, reform will help to cover these voluntary, private consultations for those who want help with these personal and difficult family decisions.
   4. Vets' health care is safe and sound: It’s a myth that health insurance reform will affect veterans' access to the care they get now. To the contrary, the President's budget significantly expands coverage under the VA, extending care to 500,000 more veterans who were previously excluded. The VA Healthcare system will continue to be available for all eligible veterans.
   5. Reform will benefit small business - not burden it: It’s a myth that health insurance reform will hurt small businesses. To the contrary, reform will ease the burdens on small businesses, provide tax credits to help them pay for employee coverage and help level the playing field with big firms who pay much less to cover their employees on average.
   6. Your Medicare is safe, and stronger with reform: It’s myth that Health Insurance Reform would be financed by cutting Medicare benefits. To the contrary, reform will improve the long-term financial health of Medicare, ensure better coordination, eliminate waste and unnecessary subsidies to insurance companies, and help to close the Medicare "doughnut" hole to make prescription drugs more affordable for seniors.
   7. You can keep your own insurance: It’s myth that reform will force you out of your current insurance plan or force you to change doctors. To the contrary, reform will expand your choices, not eliminate them.
   8. No, government will not do anything with your bank account: It is an absurd myth that government will be in charge of your bank accounts.  Health insurance reform will simplify administration, making it easier and more convenient for you to pay bills in a method that you choose.  Just like paying a phone bill or a utility bill, you can pay by traditional check, or by a direct electronic payment. And forms will be standardized so they will be easier to understand. The choice is up to you – and the same rules of privacy will apply as they do for all other electronic payments that people make.

8 Reasons We Need Health Insurance Reform Now

   1. Coverage Denied to Millions: A recent national survey estimated that 12.6 million non-elderly adults – 36 percent of those who tried to purchase health insurance directly from an insurance company in the individual insurance market – were in fact discriminated against because of a pre-existing condition in the previous three years or dropped from coverage when they became seriously ill.    2. Less Care for More Costs: With each passing year, Americans are paying more for health care coverage. Employer-sponsored health insurance premiums have nearly doubled since 2000, a rate three times faster than wages. In 2008, the average premium for a family plan purchased through an employer was $12,680, nearly the annual earnings of a full-time minimum wage job.  Americans pay more than ever for health insurance, but get less coverage.    3. Roadblocks to Care for Women: Women’s reproductive health requires more regular contact with health care providers, including yearly pap smears, mammograms, and obstetric care. Women are also more likely to report fair or poor health than men (9.5% versus 9.0%). While rates of chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure are similar to men, women are twice as likely to suffer from headaches and are more likely to experience joint, back or neck pain. These chronic conditions often require regular and frequent treatment and follow-up care. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/women/index.html
   4. Hard Times in the Heartland: Throughout rural America, there are nearly 50 million people who face challenges in accessing health care. The past several decades have consistently shown higher rates of poverty, mortality, uninsurance, and limited access to a primary health care provider in rural areas. With the recent economic downturn, there is potential for an increase in many of the health disparities and access concerns that are already elevated in rural communities.    5. Small Businesses Struggle to Provide Health Coverage: Nearly one-third of the uninsured – 13 million people – are employees of firms with less than 100 workers. From 2000 to 2007, the proportion of non-elderly Americans covered by employer-based health insurance fell from 66% to 61%. Much of this decline stems from small business. The percentage of small businesses offering coverage dropped from 68% to 59%, while large firms held stable at 99%. About a third of such workers in firms with fewer than 50 employees obtain insurance through a spouse. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/helpbottomline
   6. The Tragedies are Personal: Half of all personal bankruptcies are at least partly the result of medical expenses. The typical elderly couple may have to save nearly $300,000 to pay for health costs not covered by Medicare alone. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/inaction
   7. Diminishing Access to Care: From 2000 to 2007, the proportion of non-elderly Americans covered by employer-based health insurance fell from 66% to 61%. An estimated 87 million people - one in every three Americans under the age of 65 - were uninsured at some point in 2007 and 2008. More than 80% of the uninsured are in working families. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/inaction/diminishing/index.html
   8. The Trends are Troubling: Without reform, health care costs will continue to skyrocket unabated, putting unbearable strain on families, businesses, and state and federal government budgets. Perhaps the most visible sign of the need for health care reform is the 46 million Americans currently without health insurance - projections suggest that this number will rise to about 72 million in 2040 in the absence of reform. My dad was too young for Korea & too old for Vietnam, he did get drafted though and served his time in the Army.  He was a high school teacher and coach and many of the young men he taught would head off to Vietnam.  Since I was born in 1969 and some of the guys got my baby picture, later on when they came home they would tease me that I was the youngest pin-up girl.  So many of them went on to have such difficult lives.  I saw it effect so many of them.   My dad tried so hard to help many of them.  Brings me to tears to think about it.

I don't even know how I got down that road, sorry.

JSM,one of hubby's friends just called. He is a Vietnam Vet.He is not happy with what's going on with our government right now.Hubby is trying to calm him down.
He and hubby use to work together before the layoff and surgery. This guy is so cool, but when you look in his eyes you see so much pain.
I think he may come over tomorrow. He is so sweet.   an angelic monkey
He is big into martial arts, and he always says "Sis if you need anything you call me" and you know he means it.
Trimm, I guarantee 99.9% of the vets out there today are pizzed at what is happening with this country. Especially the Viet Nam and Korean vets along with what is left of our greatest generation. These men and women fough against communism and socialism so we didn't have to live under these kinds of doctrine. Now we have a goverment trying to ram both down our throats.  I am glad your friend is mad and tell him tomorrow I am mad too!

PS, can I borrow him during my next competition if I have to skate against someone. I may need to have someone do a Tonya Harding.
