And Fanny, if you're reading...I hope you are taking it easy and regrouping.  I hope you come back better than ever and share some stories with us, but if you can't I understand and will always be thinking of you...

JSM,one of hubby's friends just called.He is a Vietnam Vet.He is not happy with what's going on with our government right now.Hubby is trying to calm him down.
He and hubby use to work together before the layoff and surgery.This guy is so cool,but when you look in his eyes you see so much pain.   
I think he may come over tomorrow.He is so sweet.   
He is big into martial arts,and he always says "Sis if you need anything you call me" and you know he means it.   

Trimm, I guarantee 99.9% of the vets out there today are pizzed at what is happening with this country. Especially the Viet Nam and Korean vets along with what is left of our greatest generation. These men and women fough against communism and socialism so we didn't have to live under these kinds of doctrine. Now we have a goverment trying to ram both down our throats.  I am glad your friend is mad and tell him tomorrow I am mad too!

PS, can I borrow him during my next competition if I have to skate against someone. I may need to have someone do a Tonya Harding. 

I bet he'd love that.He is a cutie too.He has a motorcycle too.   

He sounds like a nice guy. I may need to borrow him come February.

Health Care Stirs Up Whole Foods CEO John Mackey, Customers Boycott Organic Grocery Store    Sorry had to laugh, the liberals are pizzed at Whole Foods.

I went in one of those once, all the uppity people in their shopping who thought they were cool buying this overpriced food. Give me my crap processed food anyday. 

I went into one looking for lunch to take to my Grandmother at the CHF clinic, I forget what I was looking for, like maybe a diet drink for her, and they looked at me like I was the stupidest person on earth. I didn't know it was all organic until the crappy service girl yelled at me they don't use artificial "whatever it was".  Two weeks later my Grandmother passed on so I guess that is why I remember it vividly and why I have never been into another Whole Foods since.

Anyways, give me preservitives, beer and pizza and I will be just fine. 

Psst....Don't tell anyone else, but I LOVE Velveeta.

Pssssttttt DON'T Tell anyone this but I LOVE GOVERMENT CHEESE!!!!! Makes the best grilled cheese sandwiches in the world! 

Yes it does!I have had that before.It is yummy.

I used to get email from the WH, but that was during Bush's Presidency. Haven't heard from the One since he became elected though.  Imagine that.

Lovin I am so sorry I missed you.  Have a great trip and relax, eat well and drink lots of homemade hooch!  Thank you for the compliment about pie making.  I do freeze a ton if the apples are good and this is not going to be that year.  I am actually going to a farmers market tomorrow to see what the Hutterites have for fruit as even my strawberries were awfully this year.  We are under a frost warning for tonight.  Considering all my tomatoes are still green I will be really pizzed if they are frozen and green tomorrow morning.  My garden it too large to cover so I roll with the weather.

My dad was too young for Korea & too old for Vietnam, he did get drafted though and served his time in the Army.  He was a high school teacher and coach and many of the young men he taught would head off to Vietnam.  Since I was born in 1969 and some of the guys got my baby picture, later on when they came home they would tease me that I was the youngest pin-up girl.  So many of them went on to have such difficult lives.  I saw it effect so many of them.   My dad tried so hard to help many of them.  Brings me to tears to think about it.

I don't even know how I got down that road, sorry. 

Lovin, my Dad was in college and had two kids during the VN war. Some of his friends from HS weren't so lucky. I think three were KIA and one lost some limbs. Anyways, I have somewhere that I took at the Memorial of one of his friends name.

    I really would love to see that memorial and other things there in Washington that weren't there when I was there visiting.

Anyone can learn to skate, just strap a pair on them and push hard.  They may even do tricks that they never knew they had in them!  Now skating WELL is a whole other hockey puck!  My daughter threw her figure skates out and has been in hockey skates since about age 4.  She loves them as the pick does not get in her way.  I learned on figure skates and feel nakkid with hockey skates on.

every time i scroll down i get tips for a flat tummy...by golly if i wanted it to be flat i would give up the beer, cheese, and do the forbidden (exercise....please shut eyes for dirty word)..by golly if i lost weight now i would have to buy all new pants and i don't have the money to go cloths shopping...i'm just gonna' have to maintain my weight!

Cheese they give poor people. Or at least they did back in the day. Good, yummy, gooey cheese when melted in a toasted cheese sandwich would give you chill bumps! It is the best cheese I have ever had.
