STUPID QUESTION I don't know anything about video recorders. My sister recorded me on one yesterday and she gave me what looks like a cassette tape. Does anyone know how to get that cassette downloaded to a DVD/CD so I can download it to my computer? TIA JSM

I must be really stupid because I always thought you needed the actual recorder and a USB cord to download it.   

I am excited to see you skate though!

Thanks MT,  that makes so much sense. She just handed me the cassette tape and said here. I guess I need to get her to download it for me. She and I are not good with electronics.

I have been skating for three very long years, and I still am not good at all.

LOL about the stories of when ya'll were kids.  I often wonder how we survived too.  Son & I had an experience just the other day with a huge bike wreck with gravel in the hands & knees and a 2.5 mile walk with 2 bikes and a 55lb little boy who is not so little anymore.  Why do things always seem like a good idea at first?   

Oh & Klaas must love her new photoshop software!

Glad too you weren't hurt on the "big" board as we call it here. I used to love to dive off the board, then I smacked my head doing a back flip. I think that is when I got my fear of height and it was on the low board.

Me too JSM.I loved swimming when I was a kid.Up until the last couple of years I swam often in the lake.
As a kid though,the swimming pool was the cool place to look at the boys.

I loved swimming too. My Grandad had a pool and we would eat hot dogs, swim and have fun. Then when I got older I wouldn't go to the public pool. I was too fat and my sister was thin, so the boys wouldn't look my way. I didn't go to a public pool until I was 30 years old.

Blood pressure was up,due to nerves.Normally it is very good.
Got a shot for my joint paind and some anti-inflammatory meds.
My best friends was doing well this evening.she told me she would hang in there til after the funereal tomorrow afternoon,then I waould have to take care of her while she takes care of her daughter.what a mess.I couldn't stay there long.It is like flash backs to my boy.I couldn't talk when I got there except to tell everyone I loved them.Our other friend walked me to the car and I am a mess mentally.I can't freak out cause it will scare my granddaughter.She is helping hubby fix snacks and we are gonna watch a movie.I am so sad,and angry at the same time.
Did anyone hear from Fanny?
What about Tevye?I was gonna try and read back maybe later.I am so worried about her.
I'll see you in the morning.I can't think straight right now.

Well, I didn't get back here as quickly as I would have liked.  My mom had puter issues that needed imediate attention so I had to help her out b/c she helped me catch up on laundry.  Plus I got a delicious home cooked meal from it.

Thanks for asking, man, I had a million phone calls to make and the kids were here and two granddarlingsons to tuck in for the night (we're going to the fair tomorrow) and somehow DH didn't think he needed to help out much. Oh well, his loss.

disclaimer: Anything I post here about my breast cancer is the truth. If I was gonna make up a Dolce-disease, it's be something much more exotic, one that could only be cured by lots of booze and a desert island....and Josh Holloway!!! (also, I don't know enough about lab tests, etc, to fudge the results.)

So:
 Invasived ductile cancer, possible lobular , they'll find out before my lumpectomy and sentinal biopsy early next month. Dr. was very positive, offered me the lumpectomy or a mastectomy (man, I'm gonna have to learn to spell better!). He said if they do the mast., I could have reconstructive surgery right then. Like, cut off the old one, take some tissue from somewhere else on my bod, and build a new one, all in the same surgery! I said (as only I would think!) "Cool! they could take it from my stomach, and I'd get a tummy tuck and a boob job all on the same day!" He laughed and said "Know what's even better? Your insurance co will pay for it!" so, I have options.

Oh, and he said it's ok to be scared. I needed to hear that. lessee, what else?
Oh, the numbers: Estrogen 85%, progesterone 43%, HER2(negative). He said those were all good numbers...and since he has that MD after his name, I'm gonna trust him on that. Aside from having an infection from the biopsies, which makes us have to wait on the surgery (and yet another vacation for him) I'm doing good.

Now, I just have to work all this around school...I will graduate in April (who knew doing 4 years of schoolwork in 18 months would be so freekin' hard????). Some papers may be late, but I will finish.
thank you all for your concerns! This am I was a little bummed with the smackdown from the mod (but I'm pretty sure I deserved it) and thought "Oh, carp! today, of all days, I need my monkeys!" but turns out I didn't really have the time to play. Dang, hate it when I have to put on my big girl panties  (Fanny, I need you!) and be the grown up!
