Never had government cheese, but Babybear Velveeta cheese mixed with chili, makes a fine dip for chips 

My favourite dip that freezes really well . In a large pot melt 1/2 cup butter slowly.  While that is melting in a blender put one medium onion chopped, 5-6 cloves garlic - 1-3 jalapeno peppers and either 14 once tin stewed tomatoes (slightly drained)  OR 3 medium tomatoes.  Blend till not chunky.  Pour the blender mixture into the melted butter (close your nose).  Take a big block of Velveeta and cube, put cubes in pot.  Stir over medium heat and when everything in melted you have a fabulous dip.  You can change the heat by changing the amount of peppers you put in.  This stuff is addictive and as said I put it in small containers as it freezes and nukes well.  I eat this with cornchips.

JSM,one of hubby's friends just called.He is a Vietnam Vet.He is not happy with what's going on with our government right now.Hubby is trying to calm him down.
He and hubby use to work together before the layoff and surgery.This guy is so cool,but when you look in his eyes you see so much pain.   
I think he may come over tomorrow.He is so sweet.   
He is big into martial arts,and he always says "Sis if you need anything you call me" and you know he means it.   

Trimm, I guarantee 99.9% of the vets out there today are pizzed at what is happening with this country. Especially the Viet Nam and Korean vets along with what is left of our greatest generation. These men and women fough against communism and socialism so we didn't have to live under these kinds of doctrine. Now we have a goverment trying to ram both down our throats.  I am glad your friend is mad and tell him tomorrow I am mad too!

PS, can I borrow him during my next competition if I have to skate against someone. I may need to have someone do a Tonya Harding. 

I bet he'd love that.He is a cutie too.He has a motorcycle too.   

He sounds like a nice guy. I may need to borrow him come February. 

Hubby just said he was raised in Florida.He doesn't know if he ice skates,but he has 2 motorcycles.....Harleys.   

Anyone can learn to skate, just strap a pair on them and push hard.  They may even do tricks that they never knew they had in them!  Now skating WELL is a whole other hockey puck!  My daughter threw her figure skates out and has been in hockey skates since about age 4.  She loves them as the pick does not get in her way.  I learned on figure skates and feel nakkid with hockey skates on.

Northern, I started skating 3 years ago so I could play hockey. Changed my mind quickly. I swear I would be lost without my toe picks and would fall backwards on my arse in hockey skates.

  As said, I feel nakid without my toe picks.  My daughter and her toe picks just never got along.  She would tip over them all the time and would get so frustrated.  Hockey skates as her thing.  When we take the pool down in the  fall that area gets flooded into a rink every year for the kids to skate and for us old timers to play some home style curling matches with water and food colouring frozen milk jugs as our rocks.

I went in one of those once, all the uppity people in their shopping who thought they were cool buying this overpriced food. Give me my crap processed food anyday. 

I went into one looking for lunch to take to my Grandmother at the CHF clinic, I forget what I was looking for, like maybe a diet drink for her, and they looked at me like I was the stupidest person on earth. I didn't know it was all organic until the crappy service girl yelled at me they don't use artificial "whatever it was".  Two weeks later my Grandmother passed on so I guess that is why I remember it vividly and why I have never been into another Whole Foods since.

Anyways, give me preservitives, beer and pizza and I will be just fine. 

Psst....Don't tell anyone else, but I LOVE Velveeta.

Pssssttttt DON'T Tell anyone this but I LOVE GOVERMENT CHEESE!!!!! Makes the best grilled cheese sandwiches in the world!

Cheese they give poor people. Or at least they did back in the day. Good, yummy, gooey cheese when melted in a toasted cheese sandwich would give you chill bumps! It is the best cheese I have ever had.

I lick out the pot as it is really tasty.  I usually wait for the Velvetta to go on sale and then make batches of it.  I lasts about 6 months in the freezer.  It is SOOOOOOOO good on hotdogs but really messy and nukes really well.
