Sebelius: Public Insurance Option Not Essential

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama's health secretary is suggesting the White House is ready to accept nonprofit insurance cooperatives instead of a government-run public option in a health overhaul plan. A Republican senator says that is worth looking at.

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said Obama still believes there should be choice and competition" in the health insurance market -- but that a public option is "not the essential element."

Obama has been pressing for the government to run a health insurance organization to help cover the nation's nearly 50 million uninsured. But he had not seen a not-for-profit co-op as sufficient to offer consumers choice and competition that would bring down the costs of private insurance.

Sebelius spoke on CNN's "State of the Union."

Trimm, your pups are adorable. I grew up with two doxies. The first one Gretchen was a red standard, and Heidi was a black miniture. They are very smart animals, especially Heidi. Taco looks so cute and innocent, Digger just cracks me up, you can just see on his face that he is looking to get into trouble. Bama what a cutie

Trimm, I would die if Josef brought in a snake. I am about to go walk Josef AGAIN and Chill. My back is killing me today. I think I slept funny or something.

If I don't come back tonight, I will see y'all tomorrow. I have to go to a different Mass tomorrow because the University is closed for the weekend, so that screws up my skating time, then I am going to go see my mom and stepdad and hopefully they can download my competition program from my sisters camera to the computer. We shall see. If not, I will go pay good money to someone that will download it for me. Like I said it wasn't good, but the best I could do at the time. 

You better rest your back and be careful skating  It doesn't take much for the back to go out and hurt.

Take it from one who knows.  Do not push it and see a doctor if it continues.  RICE, that means Rest and ICE.  Do not take any chances with your back.

 

Thanks Bearly. I took a muscle relaxer and a hot bath and went to bed. It is much better today.

Could you explain this to me? I was fixing Zoe's food and was listening to the tv at the same time, and I'm more confused than ever    Since I just added soft food to her hard food, I mix it real well, but instead of just eating it from the bowl, she is caring mouthfulls and randomly spits it out on the floor and licks the soft food off of the other. Eventually she eats it all, but in the mean time makes quite a mess. Any suggestions  or is she just hopeless with her food and messes?
