  Before I leave here. JSM would like monkeys to please remember Fathima Bary. She is alive and not missing, but if she goes back to her parents, I truly believe she will end up a missing person. Please go to her thread and read what Pink posted.

I know my posts are not PC, and will probably in all likelyhood get the big button. I just want this girl kept safe from harm. The harm being her own family and their friends.

To me this girl is in a bad situation either way, I also think this religion that she is now a member of she may be being brainwashed. I don't want to get into my history of a religion I joined and was brainwashed, but I was and luckily after two years I was able to wise up. I was searching for something, anything and I got mixed up in a mess  I hope this girl will be okay what ever choices she makes

PHOENIX -- About a dozen people carrying guns, including one with a military-style rifle, milled among protesters outside the convention center where President Barack Obama was giving a speech Monday -- the latest incident in which protesters have openly displayed firearms near the president.

Gun-rights advocates say they're exercising their constitutional right to bear arms and protest, while those who argue for more gun control say it could be a disaster waiting to happen.

Phoenix police said the gun-toters at Monday's event, including the man carrying an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle slung over his shoulder, didn't need permits. No crimes were committed, and no one was arrested.

The man with the rifle declined to be identified but told The Arizona Republic that he was carrying the assault weapon because he could. "In Arizona, I still have some freedoms," he said.

I don't think this girl is being brainwashed by the new church No Rose. It is possible. But she converted in 2007 as per her Myspace/Facebook thingy. She didn't know these people back then. I just hope for her safety she is placed in foster care until she is a legal adult.

A 20-year-old, college history major of Palestinian descent and supportive of Rep. Dennis Kucinich's presidential candidacy is the anonymous artist who turned a Time magazine cover photo of Barack Obama into the nefarious Joker of the Batman series, The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday.

Firas Alkhateeb was home in Chicago on his winter break from the University of Illinois when he toyed around with Photoshop to come up with the image. He posted it to picture site Flickr for friends to see his artwork, the paper reported.

Months later, the doctored picture appeared on posters around the country with the word "Socialism" added to it. Alkhateeb, who dawdles in graphic arts, told the newspaper he worried about copyright infringement and so kept a low profile. He also feared a backlash for appearing to be against the president in his hometown of Chicago.

Alkhateeb said he doesn't support Obama, though he likes him better than President Bush, he doesn't think he's a socialist.

"In terms of domestic policy, I don't think he's really doing much good for the country right now," he told the Times. "We don't have to 'hero worship' the guy."

Jim Dean, chairman of progressive group Democracy for America, wrote supporters on Monday to tell them to fight any effort to remove a government-run health insurance plan in place of non-profit "cooperatives."

Suggesting insider Democrats and the insurance industry are behind the effort to kill a government-run plan, in his e-mail Dean assumed all Republicans in the House will oppose the health care reform with cooperatives, and with a loss of Democratic support, it would be dead on arrival.

"Let's be clear: A health care bill without a public option is D.O.A. in the House. Period.
To pass any bill in the House they need at least 218 votes but 64 House Democrats have stood up and said they will not vote for a bill without a public option. That means a bill without a public option would only have 193 votes," he said.
