Ohh, thank you so much Mission, hope you didn't think I was ignoring ya! Took longer than usual to catch up in here today with all the music! Good stuff!!

Cool beans! Neil Young and Dr Hook are my all time favs! I have a burnt cd with Dr Hook's Rolling Stone on it, and I listen to it every time I have to drive far. Doesn't make my kids too happy, but oh well for them!

  Thanks for your prayers for Josef. The girls called me from the Petlodge and said he threw up and sent me a picture of it.  So they took him to his regular vet who said that the vomiting could be caused by the steroid he was given last night. The vet had already left before I got there so the daycare worker came and told me that he was chewing his back foot and it was swollen she thought it would pop (just like last night). They get him back up to the vet to show him, of course was no longer swollen and the vet told the girls that when it comes to Josef they have Munchausen by proxy  He still is acting strangely and now my fire detector is tweeting totally freaking him out. I can't change the batteries because I have vaulted ceilings and can't reach it.  So I got on a chair and smacked it with an umbrella. Hopefully that will fix it!

That's just what the little one needs is a chirping fire alarm, Joe and Zoe can't take that. Just like when you take a kid to the doctor, when you get the kid there, the cough is better, or the fever is no longer. Those steroids upset the stomach, at least they do mine and Josefs. I can't believe they showed you a pic of the vomit

The heat, and the steroid, and then his nerves, and the chirping fire alarm, all is causing him to pant  Once he gets comfortable and rests he should be better. Is he still on the steroids?

Thanks, Trimm! I know just the sandbar, and just the lake! I er..ah...know also about the whiskey and the sand and the all night long on the beaches! Ah...to be that young again. I think when this whole BC bs is done, I might take me a bottle of Southern Comfort and go watch the sun set over Lake Michigan...it's so good, the crowd will clap and say "Do it again!"! Now, THAT'S something to look forward to. It'd be cool to do it with a grandchild, but then I'd have to leave the Southern Comfort at home. Hmmmmm....

It was a fun day wasn't it?         Those songs bring back lots of memories.

And it made doing the 20 quarts of beans (kinda a small batch this year, my uncle the bachelor farmer knew better than I how tired it would make me) a heck of a lot more fun!! Now I totally need a nap!

We were carrying out from the liquor stores at 16 - get glasses of 7UP from the Root Beer stand that we all worked at and drive around drinking 7UP and....get this....Blackberry Brandy ewwwwww.  LOL and you are right if my daughter had done that today or her butt would still be grounded. 

Mission, we used Apricot Brandy!!! Remember Sloe Gin Fizzes...a totally sissy girl drink...7UP and sloe gin (which was pink and I was never really sure if it was gin or not...didn't taste like juniper berries)

JSM, don't you have some doggie downers? For the storms? Maybe he'd be more comfortable with HALF a storm dose. Good idea about the fire alarm, hell, I woulda just got the shotgun out and shot it, then went after the moron (probably a man) who installed it in such an inaccessable place.

I do hope he feels better, and you too. Must be about miller time, isn't it?

No Rose I thought of you and Zoe when it first went beep. Joe ran straight to the front door. I guess the umbrella and the chair worked.

His real vet really thinks I am crazy sometimes. I took him in, told him I thought he had kennel cough, the girls at the pet lodge heard the cough, but Joe would NEVER cough in front of the vet, until a few days later.

The reason they sent the pic is because they knew he vomited on the other night and today's was really nasty and they wanted to know if it looked the same. GROSS. I will say one thing about those girls, they look after Josef like he was their own child. Those girls don't get paid enough for what they do. That's why I give most of my Christmas bonus to the girls at the Pet Lodge.
