Okay,I am so sick of hearing about these chits I can't stand it.I know he is famous,and may have done a few good things somewhere down along the line,but the carnage he left along the way doesn't get a pass with me.We can't even hear the real news for the chit news.Put him in the ground already or I'm gonna start calling him Teddy Jackson.O.K.,I'm ready for the button.

I like when Mike Brooks hosts the NG show.   They are covering the Haleigh case tonight.   The heat is on Misty all over the place.

Funny how Uncle Teddy still gets around the rules of the Church.

Kennedy funeral: GIRM vs. Archdiocese of Boston
Mr. Obama is scheduled to give a five minute eulogy at Mr. Kennedy's funeral tomorrow.

This is a classic example for why it would have been good for the Archdiocese of Boston to follow the General Instruction of the Roman Missal, which reads:


382. At the Funeral Mass there should, as a rule, be a short homily, but never a eulogy of any kind.
A eulogy can still be delivered, of course, at the cemetary.

The GIRM also says:


385. ...Pastors should, moreover, take into special account those who are present at a liturgical celebration or who hear the Gospel on the occasion of the funeral and who may be non-Catholics or Catholics who never or rarely participate in the Eucharist or who seem even to have lost the faith. For priests are ministers of Christ's Gospel for all.
In other words - the GIRM wants preaching to the congregation instead of the congregation (Mr. Obama) doing the preaching.

But this is what the Archdiocese of Boston proscribes:

18. Following the prayer after Communion and before the Final Commendation, only one speaker, a member or a friend of the family, may speak for not more than five minutes in remembrance of the deceased.


... and here we are.

  Hubby is much smarter than me though, I know some things, but forget a lot. I know at my church they have a group that assists with funerals and weddings. They know the ends and outs. I just go to Mass, pray then leave.

I didn't realize she was Catholic, yes money can/could buy an annulment back in the day, but I think it said one of the Kennedys wasn't able to get an annulment.

From what I have been told here, they assign you a Canon lawyer and there are other reasons for the annulment. Like if you were beaten stuff like that. IDK, since I wasn't Confirmed until after my divorce I didn't have to deal with an annulment.

Fanny, look into it through your diocese. I would love for you and your husband to receive the Sacraments when you attend Mass every Sunday.

PS I'm glad you are back! Now can I have a mater sammich? Please? 

It would mean dealing with hubby's ex-bitchinista, and she would only have her hand out for something. I have paid the slore the last dime I had coming out of my pocket, so I guess I will just live in sin. The bloodsucker filed for child support for a child that was not even his, and because the state of Michigan decided she got pregnant before the waiting period  for the divorce was final, 6 mos or a year, not sure. The court deemed the boy was his, even though he was living in Florida and had not been back to Michigan during that time. At the time she had been married and divorced twice, and the son she was claiming as his, she signed for him to go in the Army and was seventeen years old. Hubby had the stroke by that time ,we could not afford a DNA test, so for several years we only got a few dollars to live on from disability. Michigan is a very partial state to mothers, or at least in our case it was.

The tomatoes have been beautiful, but I haven't eaten many. Just not feeling up to eating much. But hubby has been doing his share.
