Good Morning    ISpy good to see you in this thread. Speaking of kids movies, I can sing every song to The Little Mermaid, and all the Wee Sing videos      Hope everyone's day is going good  an angelic monkey  I have now put the mental institution on speed dial, after an hour conversation with my dad about coming to visit. He is insisting that we make the plane ticket on Sept 21 and make the return around the middle of Nov.  I told him we can just estimate the return, but he says if I want to go home sooner or go later I'll just get on the plane. I told him things don't work that way, we will make it a one way ticket for now. Then do I have room for 25 pairs of shorts  I told him why, I actually do laundry, well that's what I'm taking I have everything packed  He has severe OCD and between that, my craziness, and my daughters, someone isn't going to make it out alive. I've been just laughing hysterically because I don't know what else to do. Zoe is better this morning  an angelic monkey  and it is going to be well over 100 again  And the xanax has already been taken.
Oh No Rose, I will say a special prayer for you today. Sounds like you need a hug along with the xanax. Tell him that it will cost a lot of money to change the ticket if he wants to go home sooner.

Glad to hear Zoe is better. I have been worried.

Hey JSM!  Popping over from Caylee's thread to check up on some MIA monkeys.  LOL!  I don't get to read here often, much less comment.  Life's been flying by at warp speed (or so it feels like here).  Apparently, you have a pretty popular hangout here.

Shouting out to a few fellow monkeys:  No Rose Colored Glasses, Sassycat, Lovin', and Fanny Mae!  Just want you to know I miss seeing/reading you in Caylee's thread.  I may not always respond (early bird-in training here), but I do read your posts.  You are not invisible, your opinion matters, and you are needed.

Attention all Monkeys:  Every one of us has something to bring to the table.  That's the truth.

Goodnight/Good Morning, all!

H ISPY, I've  been missing you too.  I usually just stay on Caylee's thread and just feel like I have nothing to say much. Things have not been going well for me personally, but I do read and try to keep up on her thread. I enjoy reading your thoughtful posts.  Thanks for missing me.  an angelic monkey

Have fun at the lake NR!  You make your own buns?  I am amazed by you!  I think I'm going to make the cheese dip you posted tomorrow, I hope it turns out OK.

Missed everyone, I hope all is well.   an angelic monkey You are all in my prayers, Lovinlife

I was right, I get to make the buns for tomorrow.  We counted heads and have 15 going to the lake so at least 3 doz buns.  Yes I do most of my own bread and buns every day, rarely buy store bought bread for years.  There is just something wrong with bread that can stay fresh for two weeks on the store shelves and your counter.  We are all bringing one desert as well so I am going to make a cherry cake as I have so many sour cherries ripe on my tree right now.

You will enjoy the cheese dip.  Make it as hot as you want with the jalapenos by adding or subtracting some.  The cheese masks the heat so you might be surprised on how many you will put in before it comes out to your taste.

wow ....  I've been thinking the same thing about bread on store shelves for severals years now for some reason (OCD no doubt) but everyone I've mentioned it to says pffftttt.   I keep trying slowly to get back to everything organic & unprocessed but it's really hard.

I never go to a bakery & I freely admit I'm pretty much too lazy to bake bread products myself, not to mention the mess I'd probably make.  I wonder if buying from a bakery would be pretty much the same as making at home?

NR, do you have a bread machine, easy recipes, all that, or is it really time consuming?

Sorry for jumping into the middle of your thread JSM.

Don't grandkids just rock? Our second oldest grandson (5), has a "Big Bunny" who goes on rampages. He destroyed the Lego sets that the grandson and daddy had built. He lives in the toy closet under the eaves, and when he gets mad, he trashes the bedroom. He has also been known to eat the last cookie, and leave clothes laying about. He sounds like a real bad dude! I was literally rolling on the floor while my GS was telling me this. He was SO serious! When I told him I was sure Papa had a trap that we could catch Big Bunny in, he told me Big Bunny has super powers and no trap could hold him. It was hilarous.

All the while he was telling me the story, both he and I knew he was just making it up, but I played along. I highly encourage their imaginations...in fact, he even watched an episode of Doctor Who with me.

JSM,this evening I was outside with my grandson. He was praying for the turnip green seeds we planted. While we we were talking about life in general, this is what he said....."You know Mamaw, people should be nice to each other cause God is always watching us.You know one of these days this whole world will be gone really fast. When God comes it will be like a burglar after dark"

I said, you mean like a thief in the night? He said he was trying to keep is simple.

Big Bunny. That is so cute. What was that Jimmy Stewart movie? Harvey I think about his imaginary bunny friend. Maybe you should rent that for the GS one day. I love little kids and their stories.  an angelic monkey

an angelic monkey How sweet is that Trimm. Praying for a turnip seed and knowing the bible in his own sweet way and keeping it simple for an adult to understand. Out of the mouths of babes.  an angelic monkey
